In game 1 of the final round, your opponent missed the play of exiling his Six with Parallax Wave in response to the Harvester when it came back, so he would have gotten it back when Wave dies.

OP here, yeah I made so many mistakes lol

Reid only had 6 cards in deck so you probably could have decked him with parallax wave lol. Im getting higher on Six, originally I thought it was a junk card but the big body and grind potential make it interesting, kindof like a green Serra Paragon.

Just watched the deckbuilding. Was wondering why there was no consideration to just run the lurrus as a 3-drop. It works really well with the animate dead, the star and to a lesser extent the mutt and it's a creature to sac to recurring nightmare if all else fails. Seems better than the mind twist. I was really impressed with the way you navigated the draft in a pretty tough seat and ended up with a reasonable deck, despite never really getting a clear lane up until halfway the 2nd pack. Really impressive.

Deep cavern bat is so good brother. Lost my mind you didn't main it. Disrupt and peek and lifelink flier bro.

It is legal to main deck Lurrus. 🙂

Currency Converter isn't so amazing against discard that you should just refuse cast Hymn or Twist (or refuse to do anything!) and let your opponent keep those cards in hand. Treasure tokens and 2/2 are probably much worse than whatever the original card is, especially when your opponent has counter magic. EDIT: What's better: a 2/2 or a Minsc and Boo?

Great draft i am commenting from the deck building stage of the video i think the only real loss was the vamp tutor but i also forgot what the other pick was.

I think you really wanted to play Deep Cavern Bat in this deck. Over something like Mind Twist which is always gonna feel underwhelming in a deck with no ramp at all. 2 mana thoughseize creature really helps when you don't have counters I find especially
@tectonicpledge88Ай бұрын
He did play it.
@turbobrewАй бұрын
@@tectonicpledge88 not in the main deck. Bat is definitely better than mind twist, it is especially nice because it lets you clear the way before executing a reanimate. Also getting to see what is in their hand lets you pick the optimal reanimate target.
@benjones1717Ай бұрын
You should have made vthem discard despite currency converter, it's slow
@turbobrewАй бұрын
Agreed. Reid had no other plays so it’s not like playing Hymn has an opportunity cost, he just didn’t spend mana that turn. I would rather have 4 cards under my opponents currency converter than 4 cards in their hand.

I think straddling the line between two decks is much worse than just “forcing” one deck. You end up using a bunch of picks on a deck you never build.

Taking speculative picks is great but I agree he was too much on the line
