Since the 80s, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have gone through multiple transformations, iterations, and inter-dimensional vacations. Although each different version of the franchise exists within its own universe, is it possible that every version of these turtles with 'tude actually exist within the SAME multiverse?! Gotta be the classic 1987 cartoon Turtles. They're the ones I grew up with, and they remain my favorite cartoon series. I do like most of the other incarnations of the Turtles as well... though I'm hoping Bay's next Turtles movie won't be as boring as the last one. I'm cautiously optimistic.

Eastman and Laird have always been pretty supportive of new writers on the Ninja Turtles, so they'd probably be cool calling it all canon, too. Plus, the whole gag started as a sort of send up of comic book tropes, so the whole multi-verse thing totally fits with it.

I forgot the episode but in Season 2 of the 2012 Nick series did show the 80s Turtles before in a dimension portal and the episode ended with the 80s turtles dealing with a Krang Slug. This episode was kinda a backdoor pilot of the Trans-Dimensional Turtles episode

Fact Number 2: During production of "An American Tail", talk began of the next feature with Steven Spielberg. Spielberg wanted to do a film similar to Bambi, but only with dinosaurs. no, i think nick just doesn't like the 2k3 series. when they released Turtles Forever on DVD they used stock art instead of the official poster art (even though it was given to them), and the version used was the tv edit, not the director's cut aired online, AND it was in full frame despite Turtles Forever being a widescreen movie and aired in widescreen. i never bought the dvd as a protest against it, (and i'm not alone, there are a lot of people online that did the same). i have my own custom made dvd of the director's cut to enjoy, but hopefully they'll release the uncut version at some point. they have been re-releasing the 2k3 series on dvd, but i believe it's only 3 episodes per dvd, so not really worth buying... SERIOUSLY NICKELODEON! give us full dvd sets already! my favorite season has never had an official release (season 3)! and season 4 only got a partial one.

Though what bugged me in Trans dimensional turtles was the the 87 Donatello didn't remember meeting the the Mirage comic versions or maybe before Turtles forever they hit there heads on something causeing them to act the way they did than recovered afterwards

The current Nickelodeon animated series already proves it is. Even if you were to write off "Turtles Forever" as a non-canonical story, the dimension-hopping in the Nick show is part of the main story. BTW, I'm not just referring to "Transdimensional Turtles," which could also be given the "non-canonical"/"alternate version of true events" treatment (in addition to the view of "only in-show evidence counts," which would discount the creator comment cited here). I'm referring to an earlier episode where we peeked into the 80s cartoon dimension, "The Manhattan Project Pt 2." That is a very clear peek into another series during a big Nick series episode, and it's not a major part of it. If this kind of evidence can be dropped so casually into an undeniably canon episode, then that aspect itself gains canon status.
