The way this series developed... From the birth of a rebellion and war to fight for freedom till a boy leaving his home to explore life... From poofing mindless monsters in season 1 to seeing a teen dealing with PTSD from a messed-up childhood in the Future... Steven Universe is unique. It emerged so many feelings and growth in me. Every single character made me company in times when I felt completely alone. I don't think I'll ever be able to fully pass through it.

Growing up in a Hispanic household feelings and emotional health arnt really recognized. They're something that can only be prayed away or something that can be fixed with work. I was never taught how to deal with my emotions when I would have breakdowns my mom would constantly just tell me how awful I was being to her and how upset I was making her. This show gave me something to understand some type of path to go on to deal with my issues. It helped me deal with my anger, depression, self esteem and so much more. I know it's a little cringe but I feel like garnet was there for me emotionally whenever I needed some type of guidance and pearl to feel like I wasnt alone going through grief. This show was the closest thing I got to therapy that i desperately needed as a kid.

Soo my new theory is that Rose poofed Bismuth not only because of the Breaking Point, it was because Bismuth was the only one other than her (and probably Pearl) that knew that her sword couldn’t shatter. Why? I have an answer. If Bismuth found out that Pink Diamond was “shattered” by Rose Quartz’s sword, she’d immediately know that Pink couldn’t have been shattered like that and might have spilled Rose’s secret on accident, not knowing it’s the truth. A small line in the show that took me 3 watches to notice is so good I need to point it out: when Bismuth is showing Steven the breaking point, she says about Rose's sword "I designed this sword for a fair fight" and says it can destroy a gem's physical form but never their gem. This is foreshadowing that Pink's death was faked since witnesses said it was done with a sword, Rose's sword.

Don't make wishes next to the monkey's paw. The idea of "Just one more season...pretty please?" has hurt a lot of shows. Futurama will forever be better than The Simpsons because it packed it up with a quality final season. The Steven Universe movie was good. Steven Universe Future was... mostly good, addressed some issues, added symmetry. It's a satisfying end. What I say would be cool: A new series by animation power couple Rebecca Sugar and Ian Jones Quartey. SU was great, but good artists make good shows and we can always use more good shows.

even though rebecca sugar is an extremely controversial writer right now, apparently involved with some serious racism while writing the characters like the pizza owners and amethyst, she still made an awesome show and movie series. I loved this show and movie, and they definitely gave me a boost in helping me discover who i truly was as a person from a whole. the entire steven universe timeline did really help me as someone who struggles to sit down and watch a full series of anything due to some crazy adhd. so thanks!

There's 86,400 seconds in one earth day.. I learned from a song a long time ago. (For anyone curious the song Live like we're dying written by The Script and sung 1 version theirs and other Kris Allen's, I don't know Kris)😂 so let's use the earth time as an example. I'm using calculator and Google. 100 years is in a century 100×60=6,000 (years) If you Google seconds in a day you will get 86,4000 as an answer and a calculator which you can edit to say "60 - century" which auto adds the seconds to 1.892e+11. if you Google e+11 meaning you will get- “E” means exponent. E11 means 10 raised to the power of 11... " Which I don't understand fully so I Googled just e+11 on its own which gives you another calculator.. which if you type 1.892e+11 you get 16.1429892194 So if I kinda understand 16.1429892194 seconds should kinda be how long she waited not to exact but close enough I think. Maybe it is exactly that i don't know the numbers could change if the days was different in the garden. And yes I really did just sit here for an hour counting the seconds Spinel counted waiting for Pink. If anyone else wants to try there that's how I did it and If anyone knows if I'm actually wrong or right, I'm opening the discussion even more for an answer. I just realized that none of this would have been possible without Steven finding lapis because she was the one who took the barn with her to the moon hat Ronaldo found on his telescope and if she didn’t go there Steven wouldn’t have slept there giving him the dream of the diamonds with pink If that didn’t happen pearl would have never told Steven abt pink and garnets wedding wouldn’t have happened

When I was younger I didn't like the direction the show took, and I didn't end up watching Future. A while back I did end up watching Future, and while I still have my fair share of complaints I think I can appreciate it a lot more now than I did. I had mental health problems growing up (and even now somewhat) and seeing Steven grow up while dealing with trauma and the like (in hindsight) is something that I resonate with a lot more. Plus, credit where it's due, I did really enjoy watching Future.
