Wow! I am glad I watched this! I had no idea that you gave me a second 'shout out' video and blog on both this red and the blue one! I am so honored. This is beautiful and it was so cool to feel your immediate excitement when you took that first swipe! I agree, finding the happy balance in viscosity between your red and this blue is the goal!

I can actually picture having tiles like that put up in the kitchen or bathroom.. tile looks really good at 5:13 even though you had just said it was an absolute mess. You could do this in a variety of colors and completely transform a kitchen or bath into the most fantastic room in the house. The patterns you could lay the tile that had these looks is endless. I am in my kitchen a lot and always thought it looked so boring. Thank you for the idea! And keep doing such lovely work :)

I always think my work is not good enough, but then I sometimes fall in love with it later and this is one of them! I can certainly imagine how a few of these dotted around would make a fab display.

Love your swipes Deby. I use a shower squeegee to swipe my pours. I have a wide and a smaller squeegee.

Thanks Diane. I myself really really struggle with squeegees. I'm too heavy handed with them, I need something with a lighter touch. Anyway I hope you have an awesome Christmas & New Year.

So every time you use the paint add silicone when ready to use? It won't matter that you will be adding again at a later time? Do you use spray or drops pf silicone? Thank you!
@AcrylicPouring7 жыл бұрын
I don't always add it. So long as there is silicone in some of the colors, especially for a swipe or flip cup, I don't usually need it in all the colors. I use drops, the treadmill lubricant here - acrylicpouringstore.com/all-silicone-and-additives/

I'm sorry to be such a bother, I was thinking of getting a torch and I don't want the fierce one! Lol Is the one you have in your store so I don't get that one? Also those little clear cups that you mix the paint in with the lids! What size are the ones you use 1, 2, 3.5, 4 or 5 ounces? Thank you!

beautiful job! how do you apply your varnish and not get lines? many thx
@AcrylicPouring7 жыл бұрын
I think it just comes down to the finish that I use. The Polycrylic is so easy to work with, I never get brush lines in it. I also bought a nice soft varnish brush from the DIY store that probably helps too.
@avilonwalston13177 жыл бұрын
I forgot to ask, where can I get those little levels you have at the beginning? Are they in your store? Thank you!
@AcrylicPouring7 жыл бұрын
I don't have the exact same ones in the store, but there is this one, that does the same thing, levels in both directions acrylicpouringstore.com/swanson-tool-ccl001-cross-check-level/ Or this set of two that you can use separately a bit like my ones - acrylicpouringstore.com/camco-25523-standard-levels/ Hope that helps :-)

Hi Deby! Nice work! If using large bottles of paint when do you add silicone?
@AcrylicPouring7 жыл бұрын
It depends on how I plan to use them. Sometimes I will just mix up the paint without silicone, as was the case here with the black and white. Then other colors, I add the silicone into the bottle just as I would when mixing paint usually. Give it a quick shake before using and it seems to work out just fine.
