Just recently someone at jb ksl mentioned she was almost kidnapped by scammer syndicate. Just be extra careful while you travel to anywhere including your own estates. That's common sense.

The place is safe as long as you do not become a victim. Tell that to those who are victims that the place is safe. I had previously visited country with reported rampant crimes. In my first trip, nothing happened and I thought the situation was over sensationalised by the media. In my second trip, I became another statistic. Quite a traumatic experience.

"Phone scammers exposed: A web of deceit across the region -CNA Insider" (Reported by Singapore News Media in 2019) In this report, they traced the phone scams calls and found out that these were made from some rural areas in the Fujian province and the Taiwanese mafia were found to be the masterminds behind the scene. Taiwanese criminals were also arrested in the open sea while training other criminals of other nationalities e.g. mainland Chinese, Filipinos. , Indonesians etc on how to conduct phone fraud there.

As a Myanmar citizen living in Thailand, I dare say that Thailand is much much more peaceful and safer than most other countries in the world. The reason why Thailand is facing current problems is mainly because of military junta in my own country. If Myanmar, by now, is under the rule of democratic government, those scam centres would have been wiped out earlier than ever. Thailand should not support the Myanmar junta in any way. Myanmar military leaders are super corrupt and do anything if they get money without considering the welfares of their own citizens, far from having consideration for any other nation. Thailand is reaping what it has sowed - trying to get along with the coup leaders of Myanmar. Hope Thailand will see the truth as soon as possible.

Min Aung Hlaing wouldn't stand a chance without the CCP's supports, my man. the call centers are there because of the ccp and its one of their revenues. they need corrupted countries like us in south east asia to run the scams. it's not that Thai gov doesn't see what's happening they ignore it to stay in power. this is a puppet government. the one who actually won the election was the one who's actually going to go against the Myanmar military but they played tricks on them avoided them at all cause because the old money elites were too afraid and the ccp don't like them. it's geopolitics. other than non profit organiztions. the US and EU won't care about us. i hope you are safe here in Thailand. i feel sorry for what you people have to go through.

For me the kidnapped chinese isn't the issue, however their behaviour when they are abroad is despicable 😂; speak loud, don't respect anything, play their phone on speaker so loud, leave their trash everywhere, can't say "thank you" or sorry, can't speak little english... 😢.. utterly annoying!

There are no reports of singaporean captured in singapore and only know from other countries Channel and from victims themselves. Singapore dont seems to do this prevention and education enoug and only focus scam prevention through phone instead of physical scam
