Dragon made up of drones lights up Singapore's Marina Bay for Legend of the Dragon Gate show

Hundreds of people gathered at the Marina Bay waterfront on the first day of Chinese New Year (Feb 10) to watch a stunning spectacle of drones forming a dragon against Singapore's skyline. Many stayed on for the display even though it rained.
The show, titled The Legend Of The Dragon Gate, is part of a partnership between the Singapore Tourism Board, Marina Bay Sands and UOB. It is set to run on Feb 11, 12 at 8pm and on Feb 15 and 16 at 9pm.

Title should be the Legend of the Carp Leaping over the Dragon's Gate. One can see the shape of a carp at around 2:15 to 3:35 and the gate at 3:50. Dragon's Gate is a real geographical location in the the central province of Henan in China and it's one of the narrowest sections of the Yellow River. Second half of the drone show was about two dragons - one gold, one silver - chasing after a single pearl, but the video only shows part of it. Magnificent drone show btw!

The one today (10.2.24) was total chaos. There was a huge crowd inside MBS and outside. 3 mins into the display, it started to pour and everyone outside tried to rush for cover. Hence it created a sudden surge for the entrance of MBS. There wasn't any police or MBS staff to manage the crowd. It could almost have been a replay of the tragic Itaewon crowd surge which ultimately resulted in hundreds of deaths. I hope the MBS and police know about this and have better crowd control and plan for unforeseen circumstances (like a sudden downpour) for subsequent drone shows. Having just 1 such display a day at 8pm, plus all the group tours from China (due to the 30day visa free) actually contributed to the crowd as well! My friend who was on the Esplanade side (which is a better viewpt) said that the drone show on youtube and advertisement look more impressive (different) than the actual one he saw,

Yes too much crowd i think since this is the first time for this show the management didn’t expect this much crowd and unprepared to manage it, i got stuck near the mrt ticket lane entrance for more than 30 mins which i haven’t experienced even during new year eve fireworks

it started to rain at around 5 to 6 mins into the show, the people in front started pushing their way towards the back, getting into shelter. Kids were crying, women were screaming, men started shouting. Standing beside me was a father carrying his boy (a tourist) that seems to panic, and a woman carrying a few mths old baby, struggling.. do look into the safety, with loudspeakers around for any announcement, a stampede can happen. Btw CNA it was no hundreds of people...It was a few thousands, could be 10k or more.
