Lawrence Wong was officially sworn in as Singapore's fourth Prime Minister on Wednesday (May 15), taking over from Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong in a ceremony at the Istana. I see many negative comments. This is his first day. Give him a break. So many complaints. I am not even Singaporean and I see so many ungrateful people. With your strong SGD, you should travel out and look at the world and see how it is like and tell us honestly if you think PAP is that bad. I think around the world, people praise how Singapore is run. How efficient the government is. All the Singapore PMs were well educated, speaks well and respected. Look at some other countries. They have maniacs, racists, extremist, uneducated and corrupted felons as country leaders. Singaporeans should be more grateful. I have been to many countries. Singapore is one of my least desired country for holiday. Expensive, boring and small. But it is very well run, everything works, safe and efficient. Honestly i think the gov did a fantastic job. Singapore has almost no natural resources. It is so successful because of their leaders who had great vision for the nation. So before you say PAP or Lawrence is bad, take a look at other countries.

Those that have not travelled or are knowledgeable will always be ungrateful to their country. A progressive country like Singapore is the envy of the world and one must recognise that the exiting PM did an excellent job and it is hopeful the new PM will have the support of the exiting PM to take over the reigns. I am fascinated with how India, Sultanate of Oman, Iraq, the U.A.E have truly fought for their country and have civilized citizens which is in itself an achievement. Do you know why we progress so fast? If we set our expectation similar to yours, we will never improve and will be "stucked" and accept this is the "Best". Recently the "Cons" has caught up the "Pros", so majority of Singaporeans wants to reverse this decline. Any "New" leader appointed must have this ability. The new leader has not shown he had came out "New" ideas before his succession to this level. Period.

Why compare with other countries? Before you say that Singaporeans are ungrateful, try to visualize what our govt did to us? They have replaced the entire local born citizens with 3rd world populations from different countries. This itself is an act that is against the law of nature. The pap govt will be punished by God one day for the bad karma they have accumulated from betraying the ancestors of SG. And by the way, SG success is not solely contributed by the pap govt. They don't deserved the full credit as they are not as holy as what you think. Although I don't blame the world of foreigners who think that our govt are angels because they are indeed good at window dressing and fooling the world to think that they are really so holy. And by the way, you will be really naive to think that SG has no corruption. And what about legalized corruption? Have you give a thought to this?
