Did I hear you say law? Nigeria only have laws for poor masses, the stupid governor while insulting the soldier said that he built the road, excuse me, the road was built with tax payers money, not your money

In the sixties you only saw soldiers when they did their routine exercises in their t-shirts and khaki pants. You never saw a gun totting soldier out and about. They never wore their uniforms outside their barracks and you only identified a soldier by their style of hair cut.

@@nuridinadams9219 " He did the right thing ", how did he do the right thing when he was plying the same one way with the accused. Unfortunately, your understanding of the governor being the chief executive officer is misguided, that instead imposes on him more moral burden not to even contemplate breaking the law, because as the No.1 citizen, he is expected to lead by example, that's how it is done in sane climes. In fact in sane climes while fine could be seen as the right penalty for the citizens ,in some countries he could be asked to resign, not necessarily for breaking the traffic rules but for that singular act of seeing himself above the law.

I am not sure you are a soldier, but if you are you would have known that a soldier does not have the freedom of speech. It is only civilians that have the freedom of speech but also in accordance with the laws of the country. As a soldier, you are supposed to live a regimented life guided by the culture of discipline and professionalism. You are not expected to engage in political conversations in public like the civilian counterparts. The soldier is also expected not to be found wanting in the breaking of the laws of the land except he is ordered to do so by his commander under reasonable circumstances.

Please spare us this crap, the Army are the biggest law makers in the land!!! In Abuja here they are always driving against traffic, blowing sirens and almost causing accidents whenever they are moving within the city suburbs. The level or recklessness and indiscipline we see daily here by the Nigerian army is one of the reasons we have lost any confidence in their ability to protect lives of the citizens because they see themselves as being above the law!
