It becomes problematic to some viewers when some Channels presenters who are Yoruba start asking pointed questions in support of a Yoruba President whose government is dominated by Yorubas.

It's obvious prof has some reservation about this govt and he would never see the wrong done by Dele because he is in his corner. We need to stop this WE vs DEM attitude. Im not unaware of the rot in our system and I do like when issues like this happen because it brings it expose the rot and that's the only way to address and sanitize it. Now when he kept say why was he taken to Ekiti for trial, is not in line with the existing laws? If we reverse the case; let say Dele is suing Aare in Ekiti, exploiting the fact that Defamation is criminal in Ekiti and Aare is resisting saying he should have done that in Lagos where he resides because it is not a criminal offence there. Are we going to be saying the same thing. The issue is to decriminalize defamation nationwide and stop pple from exploiting the loopholes in the laws.

Chief Afe Babalola's age and years in law practice do not confer on him a right for the treatment the security officers meted to Mr. Dele Farotimi. For a senior lawyer like Mr. Babalola, a civil Defamation Case against Mr. Farotimi would have sufficed. In my opinion, he took the nuclear option and his platoon commanders seem to be having a field day, not realizing that their field marshal does not really have a good reputation to protect. The Wikileaks documents published worldwide easily come to mind. What stopped Mr. Babalola from suing the CIA and the American government for defaming him? He has the resources to commence a civil defamation case in the USA but he didn't.

What is grievous about the allegation? Why can’t such be made about someone who has practice law or was a judge for 40 years over the career? The fact they have responded in the manner that they have outside of established court processes shows that they don’t even have trust in the so-called judiciary for which they are a member of. This only highlights the criminality in the judicial system which uncle Dele wrote about.

Their leaders sold out and allowed the PDP/Obasanjo's tsunami to sweep them all away except on smart governor from a certain state called Lagos state, that held his own.
