He has condemned state capture, & distanced himself from Mr. Zuma's tainted presidency. His was'nt a perfect presidency too, it had obvious obstacles, & HIV-AIDS matter has left an indellible mark on his legacy. However, his leadership built a solid foundation for South Africa, one that required Mr. Zuma to proceed with the work. He did not. Sadly, Mr. Zuma's failures have become a lense through which we judge ANC's perfomance since 1994, rather than 2009 when he took over-a framework i find unjust & flawed, for, despite many failures under ANC, there has been great achievements under their governance... Especially when Thabo Mbeki was both the deputy president & the president of South Africa.

The issues relating to the ANC and Jacob Zuma have in my understanding led to the current situation of confusion as to being a member of a party but campaigning against it. The correct position was that he(Zuma) should have had the decency to step aside before he was even called to, while the deputy pres if the ANC. But the party split into many factions and will die as a result. Leadership must put the needs of the people first but not in the case of Zuma. As for a party that will change the political landscape to the point of delivery of services to the people regardless where the reside, no party can ever achieve that. The DA is not capable, all we have to do is look at the Western Cape
