Sen. Enyinna, I like your presentation but I disagree with you on the arrest of the guy in Finland. The oppressive political system is the reason we have such violent and rebellious groups. You may be sympathetic to Ipob or have reasons to disagree with the Finland group, but supporting his arrest is extremely regrettable. I neither support Ipob nor their Finland counterparts, but holding and incarcerating Kanu, and now going to arrest the guy in Finland while refusing to address the root of their expression of frustration is extremely provocative. As an Igbo man, I feel their pains and the fact that we’re not tackling it the same way shouldn’t be taken for granted. So, arresting the Finland guy and illegally abandoning Kanu in detention will further escalate the situation. We should let the people in power learn how to address issues holistically rather than all these exercises of unnecessary power. I’m sure they do not want to address Igbo man’s concerns in Nigeria. So, it’s a deliberate attempt to hold the people down and perhaps murder more innocent children and the elderly at will. We cannot be begging for inclusion every day in our society. As a senator, you’ve been complaining about all these problems against our people and no one listens to you. Soon, you’ll retire and our children will still inherit this inhumane treatment that both you and I inherited and still suffering. When will it end, or has it become a major Nigerian policy to treat the Igbo people like nobody? Any security theorist knows this simple fact: That Deprivation causes Frustration that leads to Grievance (bottled up) which gives room to Agitation that scales to Rebellion which moves to Aggression and then to Transfer of the Aggression to other innocent victims and eventually to State Failure. If Nigeria is honest, Tinubu should release Kanu and let’s see those committing the crimes in the East. Showing up here to defend an arrest in Finland when the person they abducted from Kenya is still under their custody shows that most of you already have become weak and want everyone to tow that part of weakness. Why should we continue to live like this? Nigerian system created unknown gunmen in the eastern region. However, I’m more worried about the Nigerian insecurity agents than the so-called unknown gunmen. Tell Tinubu to release Kanu so that we’ll be able to identify the criminals in our region. We’re Igbo people and socioeconomically interdependent to the extent we know each other at local level. So, unlike others we can identify our deviant relatives and those with questionable connections or unknown occupations. Crimes don’t thrive in any Igbo society unless we let them. Once again, let them release Kanu and stop all the hostilities against the Igbo people. Today, Nigeria qualifies as a failed state. Can’t you see that those of you at the National Assembly and judiciary are just now in your rubber stamp varieties? So, what is left now is a handful of very desperate, morally bankrupt and intellectually dishonest individuals doing whatever they deem safe for themselves. And, of course, whoever that summons the courage to call them out is labeled unpatriotic, Ipob/biafra supporter and threatened with treason.
