Not true, He truncated our democracy and the people after him agreed to allow the UN under the command of the USA to ruin our democracy by poisoning the late Chief MKO Abiola in Abuja while they announced to the rest of Nigeria that he has been released and he will get his mandate back as our president then he was dead by morning. What about after that? The Igbo nation asked their presidential candidate a former president to give up on his destiny of becoming Nigeria’s president to grant the Yoruba nation justice in the spirit of federalism so the next president of Nigeria can come from Yoruba land and from Ogun state and within or closer to Abeokuta to compensate the people that produced Chief Abiola. That was the only reason why Retired General Olusegun Obasanjo became president because the Igbo nation was ordered and persuaded to vote for him. They believed in Nigeria and in federalism. Something the average Yoruba people would not do if their leaders ordered them to do. Now it’s the turn of the Igbo not by tribalism but simply because they were finally able to produce a competent candidate as an underdog in the person of Peter Obi. The leaders of Yoruba nation and their thugs besides former president Olusegun Obasanjo divided Nigeria to give half of their votes thief Tinubu and that is why Nigeria became ruined. The Yoruba nation also chose to vote for Buhari instead of insisting on the Igbo people to produce a president. We ended up with corruptions. Northern Nigerians always destroy Nigeria when they are in power and they should only get power 1/3 of the time because there are over 500 distinct nations, tribes and ethnic groups within Nigeria and it’s not the birth right of the North. We have produced many leaders who are all Shiite since Ibrahim Badamosi Bagangida, what has they done with the power entrusted to them or stolen by them? One put the country into a Muslim agenda. The others were too weak and 2 presidents (Buhari and Tinubu) sponsored , sanctioned or deliberately encouraged terrorism against Nigeria by allowing it to happen. The Yoruba nation had the power to stop the North peacefully by being patriotic and putting ur nation first. They ruined many opportunities and everyone always unite to punish the Igbo. Now we are all suffering as a collective. N:B I am not Igbo, just an observer who witnessed these things.

The problem with Nigerians is people don’t take responsibility for their actions. Here is the man that cancelled the mandate people gave to late Abiola. Why is he talking about democracy in Nigeria today. Up till today he wasn’t held accountable for his action. Reporters are still going to him for his ideas. What a wasted generation.

They do need more training! Just giving stark illiterates guns to point at civilians and bully them like was done in the 1960's will no longer do. We need forensically trained soldiers, we need deepened military intelligence capabilities! We need our military academies that can build our own weapons systems and capabilities! We need the entire rank and file of the armed forces to be trained to be nationalistic, patriotic and well schooled, as well as well educated! Incidentally, the past military regimes, actually ruined our Nigerian armed forces! 👊🏾🇳🇬👊🏾🇳🇬!

The general is very much aware, present, current and up-to-date in the affairs of Nigeria, love him or hate him, he is the most innovative and truly patriotic leader who changed Nigeria for Good, Americans had Kennedy, the British had Churchill, the French had De Gaulle Nigeria is definitely Babangida. From the beginning we had Azikwe, Balewa but they were cut short, Balewa lost his life tragically, then Ironsi was overthrown, Gowon fought Civil war and lost control, Murtala was assassinated, first OBJ was brief, Shagari was isolated then overthrown, first Buhari was uncompromising and overthrown, IBB came and stayed for 8 years that permanently changed Nigeria, everything in todays government has its beginning in IBB's time, Shonekan was just seat holder, Abatcha was firm but short lived, Abdulsalam was in hurry to retire, second OBJ was vengeful, hateful and wanted to remain for ever, Yaradua was sick and didn't know where to start, Jonathan was drunk and confused, second Buhari was overwhelmed and surrendered and now Tunubu is struggling to put the house in order. IBB is still the point of reference.

Babangida is too old and nearing his grave, so he is blabbing and doesn't know what he is saying. There is no single truth in his mouth, he is a master lair, you should recall he was known as maradona, signifying a tricky man to the extent he can score with his hand and confuse the referee , judge of the game. So don't listen to him so take him serious in anything he vomits from his mouth.

Babangida annulled the June 12 ,1993 election because the US told him to do so. The US didn't was Abiola as President because he had drug trafficking records in America. The US delegate showed IBB the drug trafficking records of Abiola in 1993. IBB kept quiet until after election to strike. The mistake IBB made was that he would have disqualified Abiola at the early stages of the campaign and told NIGERIANs the reason for his action, which is drug trafficking. He kept quiet and did it after elections, which was not nice. Hence, Yorubas have refused to forgive him

@@ikennamadueke9131 The Nigerian Army destroyed NIgeria, and I come from a family of Generals who served in different military governments from '66 to '99. The civilian governments have been worse than them, I agree, but the Nigerian Army started the madness, which has gotten out of control. Am one of many, who still say, we need a military coup to salvage Nigeria, because they were way better than the imbecil*s who rule now. My anger with IBB was not the annulled '93 election, but for the death of Dele Giwa and the stories connected to that man's death. His oil deals with America, which ran for decades, all that money was eaten up by the cabal, Nigeria didn't see a penny. He had it all to put Nigeria on the right path, but he failed ! The reason I and many are upset with him. Nobody disputes his intelligence, yes, he was a brilliant officer but also very corrupt. How many of them could compare to Late General Muritala Mohammed, the unsung hero of Nigerian politics ? None Nwanem, none ! Read the comments of Nigerians, am not alone on this.
