What Dr Olumide is saying is working in Nigeria. My sister trains all the staff working in her school including the cleaners. Other schools buy her staff as a result of training she gives- enticing them with more money. But she continues to train and pour out herself.

There are many WEALTHY Igbo and other Businessmen in Nigeria who never saw the university. Stop pushing formal education as if it's the only thing that creates wealth. Give Nigeria Light first and allow them thrive. Some of us abroad are afraid of investing in Nigeria because of what we know. Our Ladies are into prostitution not because most are lazy...How can a country survive in this 2024 without power. Oga, you have traveled naaaa😢😢. People need handwork. They need skills acquisitions but no power supply.

The issue I have observed is how do we make capital available to the youths? Coz the old men don't want to go home and enjoy pension and the whole system doesn't support anything starting. My message to those who have learned a skill please find work save money for your starting face😊
@oluwafemilebi3 ай бұрын
1. Old people are not and will never be the problem. How many of them are even pensionable. 2. Nobody is ready to support failure or waste, so the youth that needs support will have to show from the small he has that he's not a failure and the support will not be a waste. Eg tailoring, some were trained on a particular skill yet they kept the skill unused which is a waste.

The problem in Nigeria is hydra headed, the environment does not encourage productivity talk less of making a million, I worked and ran a business for close to ten years in Nigeria but could not even make 100 k per month but moved overseas and within a year am making equivalent of 1m in two weeks running a florists business. Enabling environment free of kickbacks and unbridled corruption is what Nigeria needs.

Ogaaaa, in as much as i cherish you, i will disagree with you on Nigerian graduates being unemployable. Every category of human in Nigeria is employable except the lazy category. I live in the United States. The Government creates Jobs like Hell, that some of us do 3 jobs. Nigerian Youths are suffering simply because Nigeria has got no jobs at all. U don't need to be educated formally to get a job. I have worked with a whole lot of American citizens of different extractions who could barely speak English.

Did I hear the guy say "Lagos alone is BIGGER than 14 African countries" ? How far does he want to PUSH the ARROGANCE and OVER-BLOATED ego of Nigeria? If that is the case, then It would be accurate to argue that, Nigeria as a country, is BIGGER than the African continent itself, since Nigeria has 36 states and Africa has just 54 countries, and Lagos State is not even the biggest state, to begin with. My guess is right that, gross DECEPTION and ARROGANCE are greater part of Nigeria's chronic socio-economic and political mess. Dr. Rev. Olumide Emmanuel, can you come again with your gospel.
@kayodeodusanya57513 ай бұрын
What he said is the population of Lagos is more than that of 14 African countries. And this is a fact. This has nothing to do with arrogance or deception as you claim...the emphasis is on population. Lagos of 20 million people has a bigger population than Cape Verde, Seychelles, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, Sao Tome, Botswana, Mauritius, Gambia, Djibouti, Namibia, Lesotho, Comoros, Guinea Bissau, and Erswatini combined...that's 14 African countries that Lagos has a bigger population than. This is a fact you can verify yourself. Once again, his emphasis was on population.

Okay, we know the problems let us talk of solutions. Why are people eating leather in the north instead of making 👠 shoes 👞 and bags etc ? Rather Nigerians prefer to buy Italian shoes and bags. Why is not buy Nigeria 🇳🇬 what people and government are pushing? Every country protects their own, American first policies etc. Nigerians literally hate themselves and it shows 😢! Why are people prepared to lose their life by finding a better life abroad? That money they spend can it not start a small business ? With government/ private industry incentives? Why does everyone have to live in Lagos? Can’t the federal government encourage other ports around the country? Let the people spread out. Are the states so weak?, why do they need Federal government to 😅give money ? Can’t we come up with an idea that the states get money depending on people being employed, hospitals,farming, electricity, low crime, good roads. In other words where is the incentive/ competition for the states to do better? So many Nigerians live abroad and we know what is good, it is time to do better!!!!!
