CHANTELLE CAMERON signs with QUEESNSBERRY: "MATCHROOM didn't promote me well," claims Chantelle.

Former undisputed 140lb champion, Chantelle Cameron, has moved from Matchroom to Queensberry overnight. Whilst acknowledging that Matchroom gave her opportunities and good paydays, Cameron seemingly wasn't happy with playing second fiddle to arch nemesis, Katie Taylor, even remarking that she (Chantelle), "broke their hearts" by ruining Taylor's Irish home-coming early last year. Don't rule out a third fight further down the line though, especially now that Warren and Hearn are now (supposedly) bosom buddies.

She's a huge diva trust me, I don't know her very well but I do know her through friends as she's from Northampton where I'm from. And like when she got Ellie thrown off that Taylor card just cuz Ellie's trainer is Shane is ridiculous

I do see her point. There’s room for more than one female poster child, particularly when in different weight classes. I can’t help but wonder what would have happened if she was a little more patient? Surely there was tons of money in the third trilogy fight, and she could have taken a fight while Taylor fights Serrano.

@@joestunnerboxing totally. It’s all a bit have your cake and eat it. Hearn has spoken about his deep relationship with Taylor many times he’s not going to drop her for one loss. I remember Billy Joe getting arsey at Hearn during the Canelo buildup because he was looking after Canelo better than him but cash is king that’s why Eddie does what he does

I read a comment somewhere that suggested that maybe Cameron gave Eddie an ultimatum? Either you drop Taylor or I'm leaving? Could be that maybe she felt that since Taylor is close to retirement that he would go for it? Honestly she strikes me as the type to try that.

I think Chantelle is a bit of a prima donna & doesn't want to play second fiddle to anybody & wants it all her own way. Good luck to her, but I doubt Frank will do better for her, so we'll see. If she's going to 147 as expected I suppose the fight to make is Habazin, as the other champs are with Sky or Matchroom, I believe. Cheers mate 👊
