I think a lot of people know about this fact but I’m going to tell all of the people who listen to this song and who don’t know this fun fact. The fun fact is: the Tetris theme song is based off of this song. If you listen to the theme song and then this one you’ll hear the really close similarity.

Not only their voices are amazing, but also their pronunciation. For a native English speaker it is quite hard to speak a Slavic language, but these guys are masters!

International Phonetic Alphabet is the saving grace of Chanticleer. I've been a student in their youth program for a while, and we use IPA consistently.

I'm looking for a version of this song that I can't find…half of it's in English and there's like this intermediate bit where they go "lai, lai, lai lai lai lai lai, lai"…I sang that version in college. But I'm glad I found this video over the course of my search, these guys look like they're having so much fun. XD

Clapping along songs like this - especially when one couldn't clap in time if one's life depended on it - should be a capital offence.

This video has not aged well, through no apparent fault of Chanticleer. Perhaps someday, such visits can again be regarded as safe. For now, that city's nation is labeled by the Chanticleer's own government as a "Level 4: Do Not Travel" location, because of their recent choices. The music can only do so much. The sound of missiles tends to drown it out.

It's a quite subtle interpretation, but they lack the power of the Russian male voices.

Nestor Makhno who can compete with Russians on a Russian song?? Who can compete with Russians in general
@danawinsor13806 жыл бұрын
Yes, it's true. I've always wondered how the Russian male choirs get that powerful power. Maybe it's a matter of utter passion(?)
@danawinsor13806 жыл бұрын
They're still wonderful.
@itsmidtrib15696 жыл бұрын
dana winsor Russian choirs are powerful because they are Russian and it’s in their blood. They wouldn’t do such a fantastic job if they had to perform an Asian song. I’m sure they could, sure, but they wouldn’t be performing it like Asians.
@carterpeterson32184 жыл бұрын
SaltedwithFire the russians are asian and they have performed many songs in other languages its not really a trait more of just being louder and pulling the energy from the gut like that if that makes sense
