If you like Jimmy Somerville, Bronski Beat, or The Communards, Chaos 808 are all related works. "Ship of Fools" closest represents "Hit That Perfect Beat" from Bronski Beat, which is from Truthdare Doubledare (1986). Perhaps the closest famous Pop star, RIP, is Prince. He has those high vocals! Another similar song to "Ship of Fools" is "Built for the Future" by The Fixx, whose works include artists, Eight Seconds and Rupert Hine (solo/lead singer).
