Be careful what you say. I am also still young(ish) and pretty but recognize that beauty is fleeting. Modesty is attractive to God. That's what matters most and those of us who value those things will be rewarded for eternity. Our culture puts too much pressure on women to look a certain way and we go through all sorts of extreme measures to attain it. In the end, it just becomes too much and you can lose the natural aspect of what it means to be pretty. I went to a football game at the local high school recently qnd saw most of the girls wearing midriff shirts and extremely short skirts with cheeks hanging out. It was a sad thing to behold... and when I graduated we did some of that, but not to the extremes we see now. Signs of the times. Jesus said it would be this way.

I didn't really think your outfit was bad or anything it was what you said that got me thinking deeplly about this culture we live in and how hard it is to be a married woman in this day and age. I've lived through being cheated on in past relationships and wondering what was wrong with me or how I "look". My point is to challenge you to look beyond your looks and go deeper. I'm not here to throw stones. I have to wonder what that lady has been through. Pray for those who seem bitter. There's probably a reason for it and they probably need it. For you, everyone tells you that you are beautiful and it is true. But being a great woman in a culture who has turned from God goes beyond the surface of being pretty. Go and read Proverbs 31. It is my goal to apply this teaching to my life as well. My husband and I have 6 kids. I want them to see me go beyond just the surface stuff. I want to model what it is to be a woman who loves God and walk with him. God bless you and your family.
