What'd you guys think of the Forest vlogs?! This may be my favorite festival now...
@BrookeYoder2 жыл бұрын
I've never been to EF, yet every single one of them made me super emotional and I don't know why, other than my soul must really be feeling called there. This one had me back and forth between crying and giggling the whole time. Because of this series of vlogs, this festival just shot straight up to the top of my list. It seems like it has Okeechobee kind of vibes but to the nth degree. I will do everything in my power to make this happen next year.

Great vlogs! Gave enough of a taste, but didn't give away all the secrets. Forest is by far my favorite festival and it was so wonderful to return this year!

Healthcare worker raver here! This is a great time to learn/review CPR. Not just useful for festivals, medical emergencies can happen anywhere. You did a great job getting help, you saved their lives.

Emma, thanks for sharing the medical story. It is important for all of us to take care of each other. I encourage EVERYONE to carry Narcan on them, sober or not. We are working with festivals to allow it in no questions asked and deliver it free to people in the scene. Jen and I have personally had to use it on people at an event twice. Take care of each other people because better to be prepared and not need it than need it to save a life and not be prepared! 💜

Thanks for sharing the story about the medical emergency, I never really thought about mapping the medical tents. I always focus on water and restrooms. Also that’s me in the SpongeBob hat during porters organ set :)

Something I love so much about forest is how so many chills moments can be happening at the same time based on your loves and soul. My husband and I were at the grand artique (during porter at the piano) having the same chills experience seeing our favorite Mersiv in an intimate setting surprise set. So close by! I don’t listen to porter at all personally, so it’s cool knowing and seeing the magic of different curations going on at even the same time.

Thank you for sharing the medical story. Same thing happened on Sunday at Clozee's surprise set earlier the day. I watched a man drop due to something similar and it was super traumatizing. Medical came and had to try revive him and it was just super sad. I still loved Electric Forest but thank you for also talking about what happened because there needs to be more awareness of this when at festivals, and more focus on harm reduction.

Thank you Emma for talking about this!! I met up with my friends after Shiba San and they looked shocked. This is a good PSA to bring fent strips and Narcan for not just yourself but for everyone around you. I bought ten strips and I had Narcan in my tent (which in hindsight I will be bringing with me to the venue from now on) and a neighbor who was attending Forest as their first festival overheard us talking about fentanyl in substances and he was confident enough to ask us for a fent strip to test some stuff he bought from someone at camp. Luckily, it was clean but it’s best to be safe. As a community it’s important to look out for each other and bringing test strips and Narcan for everyone around you is a great way to keep people around you safe.

it kind of is on eforest because they DESPARATELY need to allow harm reduction services- same goes for all insomniac events. with fentanyl being in everything these days, it's more important than ever. i witnessed a very similar situation at EDC but i'm not sure if that person made it and I still think about him. i'm sending you all the love because I know how traumatizing it is 💞

It’s such a shame that the United States in general is so behind on harm reduction because of the RAVE act 😰 I just try to keep promoting these nonprofits and pages who are trying to help!

I always carry narcan on me at fests and multiple doses in our group for peace of mind. Anyone can carry it and get it free from the pharmacy. I’m sorry you had to go through that, I know how traumatizing it can be. 💜

On a better note, that porter set on the piano has got to be one of the best experiences, I’m a producer myself and my instrument is the piano, so for me it would’ve been magical to be there, thanks for the great content, you rock, and thanks for being aware of your surroundings that in this event made it possible to save a life!

There was girl who OD literally right behind my group at a Rezz show in Chicago. I think it may have been Eprom or Of the Trees had to stop the show bc she was un-responsive and was foaming from the mouth. The scariest thing ever i swear. It took a good 2-3 minutes for medics to come over. Everyone was yelling for narcan but no one had any. After they did CPR they stretched her away. She luckily survived but the whole vibe was off the rest of the night. Very very scary.

Apparently people were selling people mushrooms with fentanyl which lead to overdose’s that’s probably what you witnessed! Im sorry you had to witness that. Props to you for getting help. ALWAYS test your drugs people! Happy Forest!♥️

That was just debunked! Check out DanceSafe and Bunk Police's statements. I was so shocked when I heard mushrooms because that almost never happens so TG it wasn't that! twitter.com/DanceSafe/status/1545079589646393345

I always wonder why people run to the back when people fall out in the front. The proper move in front is to just hop the rail. Security will be on you fast and then you can tell them the situation and they can call for medical on the priority radios!
@EmmaKapotes2 жыл бұрын
I just didn't see any medics in sight in the front and the tent was right in the back, but in the event this happens again, I think we'd all just run to get help wherever we can.

Hi Emma, I heard on a rave sober support group I’m in, that there was a girl that was sellling mushrooms laced with fucking fentanyl, I don’t know what’s their gain with that? Why would you even lace/mix a psychedelic with a damn opioid? I assure you this person wasn’t trying to do this deadly drug, they were trying to have a nice journey on shrooms and some shameless person had the audacity to sell them one laced with fentanyl. I posted this on rádiate as soon as I saw the post on the group, hopefully someone saw it and took precautions before buying from this girl.
