Wow you are NOT kidding about that Governer's Ball lineup. What a fun mix! Thanks so much for posting EF content so early. Now I don't feel like such a festival junkie for already thinking about it every day 😂

Today was leg day at the gym and I listened to this in it's entirety! Great conversation, I can't wait to be back in the Forest, it's so special like Ashley said it is care free, be yourself, amazing vibes. BTW the lineup has neverrrrr mattered to me for forest...it is always a good time no matter what! So I realized.. the only downside to listening at the gym is I don't remember everything I wanted to comment! I do agree with Ashley that what I love about your podcast and channel is how genuine you are and how you feature people that you think will bring value to a topic regardless of their following (including myself- shout out episode #28!) I did do a video on how to pack and fly to a camping music festival a couple months ago. Specifically it was for when I went to Electric Forest last minute in 2019 and had to fly out. Lots of tips in that video and I even show everything set up at EF! Great episode--see you in the forest ladies!

I agree - very lackluster lineup but still home. I’m hoping for Tipper & Skrill for the 10 year. We’ll see what happens on the next phase drop

There are festivals that do loyalty codes and pre-sale codes. I think that Forest has the most tiers of this *but I haven't been to other caliber festivals, only smaller ones. If you subscribe for emails to the festivals that you would like to attend they generally give you some type of discount/code.

I need help....I’ve lived edm my whole life...just started raving at countdown NYE in 2019..I loved it!! But one question: how do I go up to people and have a good time with them too...I’m extremely anti social..like it’s worse than it sounds...I just wanna make friends and feel comfortable with the rave community..can someone help me plz?
@EmmaKapotes4 жыл бұрын
Andrew likes Tacos sorry you’re struggling with this! It can definitely be really hard to put yourself out there, but luckily this is one of the most welcoming and friendly community so I hope that eases your nerves a bit. I would take baby steps and just try pushing yourself a bit to start up conversations with the people around you at shows. You can always trade Kandi or compliment someone’s outfit, etc just to start testing the waters. It takes time but i promise you’ll meet some cool people!

I think people who only focus on big names are not real fans of the music. If you are a fan of the genre or sub genre you shouldn't give a fuck about who the fuck is playing. I never focus on big names only, I care mostly about the genre that's playing and if it's a genre I like I'm good. A lot of times unknown djs are better than the headliner. A lot of actual underground raves I been to, like real raves at warehouses with less than 40 people, are just people djing that no one's heard of. So people complaining about headliners only are, in my opinion, fake ravers.

I feel this cause 9/10 times I go to Fests cause of the artists that are on the lower tiers. They really be the best ones imo and I hardly get a chance to see certain artists cause they don't tour through my hometown often.
@ecor1502 жыл бұрын
@@robsaget festivals are definitely not the same thing as real raves of the 90s and early 2000s. The only thing sorta close to real raves aka "illegal raves" are smaller events with lesser known artists. People who have never been to a real rave will never know the difference between it and festivals or the meaning of just appreciating the music by itself and thus only focus on mainstage stuff at festivals and complain about lineups not being mainstream enough.
