Watched the Christmas Tree race and noticed one bad 4 door Malibu.I live in Sharonville Ohio and never heard of Tin Soldier Race cars.I think your KZbin subscribers are going to increase dramatically!Winning that race was impressive. Hey Jason, I'm the guy who said thanks for the motivational Mondays. Just wanted to say congrats out there!! It was great to get the opportunity to meet you and talk a bit. I appreciate it man! Been going through hard times, and trying to finish my 4th Gen Camaro. If there's ever an opportunity to help out, if y'all are down here, or GA, I'd be happy to offer my time and help. I'd attempt to give up Florida to come work for you!😂 I've been in this all my life, the only thing I have not done is tig weld, but due to not having access. Been mig welding 20yrs.+, I have done 1 cage and some other fab work, nothing crazy. I'm not going to try and make myself look great, but i know my way around cars and fab work pretty well, body shop background, and did my 1st Gibbons bodied '37 Cabriolet when I was 13-15 with my pops. That was my 1st taste in a complete build, that I took part in. All done in a (big)home garage, no lift.. and I also lived less than 10min from Rt.66 Raceway in Joliet, as well as worked for the owner of the speed shop, that was ¹/¹⁰ owner of it. So, I spent my high-school years out every Tues., Thurs, Fri-Sun., pretty much every week, weather it was out to watch an event, help someone with a car, or had my own car out, I was actively out there! It kills me, this turbo deal is the 1st car Ive ever sent out to anyone to do anything to! I've tried to find tig welders, but no luck, at least not w/o paying to have it done.. so, by the time I'm ready to do my cage, I WILL know how to and be confident enough to do my own cromoly cage! Thanks man!

Jimmy Dale would be alright in a promod. Some people don’t understand that promods are built from the ground up for one purpose and thats to go fast and do it straight. If the car is already setup,tested and ready to rip, he just needs to let go of the button and pull the chutes.

Chutes are activated on a timer. The driver only manipulates chutes to keep the car straight when something bad happens.

@@Zach-ku6eu Thats what I thought too. I know some people have chutes setup that automatically deploy if they get out shape real bad just in case they don’t think to grab the chutes in an “oh shit” moment, but they rely on pulling the chutes themselves under normal conditions.

I got a friend who was Mike Moran's clutch guy for like 5 years back in the mid 2000s. In 2005 Mike was the first ever door car in the 5s, a string of 5.90s and a 5.87 @244mph. This was 2005, look it up. Mike was letting the clutch guy run the car out to 330 ft just for the experience. He said it hits so hard and the G forces are so freaking hard it's something you will never experience in any other way. In 1989 Mike first came out with the Pinto wagon we built in a one car garage. It had a then roush Cleveland style 430 inch motor, with the liberty 5 speed car was running 7.70s...back in 89! This was on the street! Testing one night he had me sit on the tin, only one seat, and my job was to hold the fuel pressure gauge and watch it the entire run...at 4 am on M-14 hwy. We made 3 hits...I thought I was gonna die sitting on the tin holding onto bars and neither had our helmets on. We were stupid back then this was 1989. With the liberty it might have been 1990, I can't remember now.

You y’all make the top oil ring support gap big or bigger than the second ring? Heard from someone that if it gets past the first ring then like he’s said it better get past the second, and to get past the second it needs to get past the top oil ring into the oil ring control holes in the piston. Maybe that’s caused the second ring to pinch the Oil rings.
