I did that road just before the new asphalt road opened. It is'a long boring road. But Uzbekistan was great. It will be a bit cold in the mountains now. I loved the northern 'stans' ... Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan

Came back from the same trip in July and that road dented both wheels and eventually blew the rear shock. Good luck with the dogs en route

@@chloejones2958 It was really good, broke the bike, crashed the bike and then sold the bike and flew home. If you are heading to Dushanbe the Green House Hostel is full of travellers with a nice courtyard to store and fix things

If you are in Dushanbe The Green House hostel is good for travellers and has a nice courtyard to store and fix the bike. I had to leave there in a hurry due to late night whiskey and early day train issues so most of my stuff is still there

Soon to be setting off on a similar route. Did you meet any resistance taking your drone through Georgia, Russia, Kazakhstan & Uzbekistan? All supposed to be no no for drones. Russia might be OK for carrying but not using but Uzbek will confiscate/fine/jail according to other Tubers who have been at the border and diverted. Tajikistan don't seem to happy with drones either. Currently of a mind to leave it at home ot send it home from Turkey

Amazing I hope you have an epic trip. I only knew about Uzbekistan. I wasn't aware of the other countries. I smuggled my drone in twice and got away with it, which is probably not the smartest idea but I accepted I might loose, and took a chance. I think the only reason I didn't get caught as they were too busy trying to put air into a flat tyre, and forgot to search my back pack haha 😆 have epic trip ! I love Central Asia
