The best thing about chaos marauders is that you can tear their recruitment building down on turn one and build the chaos warrior building the next turn to get an unit that has some actual value.

if you ever end up in a WoC campain, you want to get out of Marauders by turn 3-4 and end your rush at Chosen, expensive, but can take on the empire on their own (obv. get the shagoth doomstack later, especially with Kholegg)

Good concept ! just a thing, when you say are they are cheap at the start since the unit card dosen't show the cost you could place the number yourself so the people not used to the cost of the unit know how much we're talking about (especially useful for people starting multiplayer)

the rage trait may be the only thing different but I think it completely changes the unit. The leadership buff alone that they get makes them closer to mid range infantry than cheap infantry imo.

Chaos Marauders would make a good enemy in a punching video game. It would be like Vermintide, but with Norsca/Chaos, and you have super strength and beat them to pulps.

You forgot to mention how they have the infighting mechanic on campaign, causing attrition to marauders in other armies and making them completely useless. Otherwise, great video.

dario il diario if you have two armies that are close enough together, any marauder units within those armies will take attrition damage.

sjonnie playfull but this is a chaos campaign. Any armies staying away from each other will be caught, killed, and eaten for breakfast by the ordertide. Especially on higher difficulties.

@@Aredel unless the killing is done without fighting, you are still fine with travelling alone, fighting concentrated. Just be sure you know when they start fighting. Ordertide huh... might be fun to start a chaos campaign then. So far Mazdamundi has roflstomped his way all over the new world and is now invading the southlands while a second force is crossing into Norsca, and the best opposition i had so far was four armies from one faction, attacking me while in their territory, and a few stray orcs sailing in my direction. Roleplaying as a good guy does limit the challenge.

@@lightbower5826 nah, the lore claims that making weapons is one of the two talents of norscans. The other being making warriors. As for why they get beaten, it can indeed be training: they are warriors and not soldiers, so if they break into the formation, the swordsmen are screwed, but thing is they don't. They are not Chaos warriors enough to do it.
