I did a doomstack of vampires, all with dread incarnate. Most armies routed before any fighting happened.

I can see how having too much in the game can kinda blur everything and just muddle up some of the games experience. I don't particularly mind because I like all the weirdness going on and gives me more people to conquer

Took them a decade to release a character which should of been in the first game in 2016. But got to appease the kids ay GW, since they all love Grimgor Ironhide (don't know what GW is smoking but 'kids' haven't played Warhammer Fantasy since the mid 00s), instead of *real* Greenskin fans who love Gorbad, like myself. But who am I kidding? Grimgor was the posterchild of the last 3 editions of the game originally before GW canned it, so he is fresh on everyone's minds. Meanwhile Gorbad is a relic of the 90s from back in 4th edition. Which I always found bizzare since he had a 3 page spread in 8th edition codex and on top of that *finally* got a model in 8th too. Guess the devs just forgot he existed, oh right he did get a "named" warboss character in the first game, but he wasn't a unique leader, just a slightly different regular Warboss which was just there and Grimgor stomps him right at the start of the game as the game starts right as Gorbad returned to the Badlands in failure. But yeah Canonically Gorbad came first, then Grimgor rose up after, but Grimgor is from the "End Times" era, while Gorbad is from the Age of War era which preceded it. Oh wait now I know why we finally got a proper Gorbad leader in his own right, because of his "spiritual" successor with his same name (and everything) from Age of Sigmar which is a super popular model (I mean come on, he is the most badass Orruk Warboss model on his Boar, with the big banner, really awesome).

This is actually how I played my Morathi campaign, well sort of. I purposefully expanded very slowly. I confederated an entire just south of my lovely boy Maliketh who kept growing stronger and stronger so I formed a military alliance with him. Investing my research in sacking and piracy I just sort of played like a Dark Elf, sacking when my High Elf neighbors weren't ready, and sailing around the coasts looking for coastal targets with no friends or were weak to sack and leave behind lol.

To be honest I wouldn't say it's even or no difference. As you said there was a diff that you had to fight more battle in real-time which ofcourse help us manipulate the battlefield and it's not just about statistics. Maybe it would be more accurate if you would fight every battle in auto-resolve, or if you would play more RT battles with the mechanics (cause there would be less casualities and you could spend less turn to replenish, etc.) At least it's my opinion ofcourse.

Man.. I've been using shift select to pick out units by their banners for the longest time. I only just recently heard about being able to individually select with ctrl, and now I learn I can also do both with the in-game formations, FML (I love this game)

Legendary is dumb. All the AI does is toss 5 times the stacks at you and rejuvenate faction lords even faster,while keeping you at normal difficulty economics and messing up your battle camera...that's not challenging,it's just annoying.

Why do all the beginner faction suggestions always require DLC. Everything thinking a beginner is going to drop $60 for warhammer 3, then another $60 on warhammer 2 just to play dwarves or high elves. Why would a beginner drop $120 on a game they've never played. The suggestions should consider no DLC.

16:26 I am pretty sure you can also change what unit is pushing the wagon in battle by pressing the drop equipment button and having another unit "pick it up". But never tried it so it may or may not work that way

these tips hold up in 2025, i think early on in the video when you mention chambering as being too risky, chambering is your defence against feint spamming. once the enemy sees you are going for the chambers, they start feinting less and less on you.

another good one is Shift+drag RMB.. It creates a path for the units to take. So you can select your cav, and draw a semicircle around the enemy ending in their flank to go around and charge them instead of sending them to the side, then behind the enemy, then giving the attack order... Makes the micro much more manageable... As for moving units with Alt+LMB, be very careful of artillery.. Alt is the manual targeting button, so if you mess it up, instead of moving you'll go straight into the book because dozens of good dawi died with grapeshot in their backs...
