The real surprise about the Sonic cereal was that this apparently isn't a revival of a thing that already existed back in the '90s. Like, seriously? _Everything_ had its own breakfast cereal back then. _Steve Urkel_ had his own breakfast cereal. Also, you know you spend too much time on the Internet when you've never watched a single Gundam anything nor sat in on a conversation about it but somehow a "turn-A" joke still makes sense to you.

Sonic & Sega partnered with Honey Nut Cheerios back in 1994. There was also the "Sega Forever Gold Rings" limited edition cereal from 2017, which looked exactly like Honey Nut Cheerios. Also the "Funkos" Sonic-themed blue ring cereal, from 2019, that came with a Funko toy. Saudi Arabia got some Sonic themed corn flakes and chocolate puff cereal (two different cereals, both Sonic branded), at some point. Dubai got Sonic chocolate-filled "cereal pillows" in 2021.

On the topic of game libraries, I find this to be true when it comes to the entire libraries of each console (and previous ones). If you, like me, love RPGs, many of the best are on Playstations. If you like competitive games, you'll find a lot of them on Xbox. If you like slow-paced zen and singleplayer games, Nintendo's the choice. While if you want tons of replayability and the modding scene, you go PC. They are fundamentally different, but I think ultimately we're all aware that this "Console War" BS we have to deal with on the daily is just a way for companies to whip up zealotry and sell more of their products.

Earthworm Jim 2 is my favourite game from the SNES! I played it over and over. Even more than EWJ1. Every level is like playing a new game, it has so much more character and humour than the first game, the music is incredible, Puppy Love never got old. I regret letting my mum sell the Snes in a garage sale years ago, i wish i had it right now just for that one game alone.

Planetside 2 recently released an update where the game crashes when certain vehicle weapons pull 1.5x scopes for their turrets. Which would be pretty irritating and not infuriating IF IT DIDN'T CRASH THE ENTIRE SERVER. In Foxhole, the game is still a total soul crushing machine that it was made to be. Check back next week.

Earthworm Jim 2 is a banger! I actually just played all the way through it about a week ago when I decided to make sure my SNES still worked. It's fantastic. Very weird and tons of variety. Some of the levels don't really hit, but it doesn't linger too long on any one thing to outstay its welcome. Highly recommended.

The Gundam story sounds very similar to other company statements I've read recently. It seems like they are pivoting away from saying outright they're using NFTs in the game, and instead make a "player driven economy" where you can make and sell your own stuff... Like NFTs... I'm willing to separate the art from the artist so I can continue to enjoy older stuff that I have fond memories of. It also helps that he's almost certainly not getting compensated in any way for rereleases of those old games. Won't be supporting his newer endeavors though. And of course that's just me. Totally get why others couldn't touch even the stuff he made before becoming (or revealing that he always was) a jerk.
