I find it interesting when punks/skins will talk down about wearing uniforms and conformity but all dress the same.

That was one of the themes of the song, I always found it strange that it went all leather, studs and Mohicans and spiky hair.

@@wokova It's a niche and its a comfortable one for many. Mohawks i saw as setting yourself apart from society with your hairstyle. Back in the 80's that was ballsy and a statement. Really hard to get a job with that. Today its meaningless. I get some of the reasons for it but it became too much of a style when it was supposed to be anti style. You look at old photos of shows and there werent many that had all that. Depending on the city, you had people really pushing it way further than the basics. A lot of that's gone now and its just the same stuff. People are more afraid these days of standing out compared to back then. Especially standing out amongst your peers.

@Pete Testube That's pretty funny of you to say since back in the day there were very few mohawks at shows(depending on what part of the country and world you were in). I personally think more punks dress up full on now compared to back then.
