I had to lower my bike because I'm small. This includes lowering the front too. Thanks to upside-down forks it doesn't change how they work and doesn't limit travel. Sure you need to setup your suspension completely new for the new ride height but I don't feel a diffence at all. The only difference is that I stopped dropping my bike because my feet reach the ground now.

11:00 most likely wouldn't need to rebuild the engine; people race snowmobiles on water (watercross) and sink them all the time. They have a killswitch on a cord (like in the video) and a buoy that releases when it sinks to indicate the location, then they just pull it up and to the ground, drain the engine and it's running within 30min for the next race.

"Plus it's just my rear brake foot" I had to make a clip just because of that lol, because it encapsulates how I feel right now. The TL;DR is that I was in a motorcycle accident from a (suspected to be drunk) pickup truck hitting me. I have a metal rod where my tibia and fibia (shin bones) once existed that connects my knee to my ankle, and have had 9 surgeries and more expected. It's been 24 days in the hospital now undergoing surgeries to keep my leg, but I cannot bend my ankle and can kind of wiggle my toes. Point being? At least it's not the gear shifter foot. If I keep my leg, I plan to put my rear brake on my handlebar. If I lose the leg.. well, I'll be looking to buy a Volvo, since falling down or crashing with a fake leg would mean I'd potentially have to get a replacement leg if the original gets damaged.

Had the freshly flushed front brake on my KLR drag just enough to heat up to the fluid boiling point which caused the front brake to clamp down. Hey, I always wondered: why don't you go off road if your wheels aren't spoked? ...spoken? Bespoke? And also to take a swing the question in the video: every single person, I reckon. Every typical person on the planet puts their hand down when falling. A reflex we've had since we first encountered gravity as a species. All but involuntary. Even while you're thinking about not putting your hand out, you'll put your hand out. Even if you're bracing your fall into a pit of lava, you'll put your hand out to the lava. If the floor was all knives, so on and so forth...

I get that cast wheels are not upposed to be abused, but they will be. Frankly the biggest thing holding back most of these machines are the stock tyres, otherwise they are decent - as long as you are appropriate sized for the machine* *If you are a huge dude, CRFL300 rally will bottom out just by you sitting on the thing (without suspension upgrades), while if you are on the small side, like youtuber itchy boots, good have mercy on you if you do hard offroading and have to repeatedly lift the full sized ADVs.
