I'm catching up with everyone's vid's, think the earliest I've found so far is Jared cleaning up the water with his daughter filming him around 2 years ago. Back in the UK now after 18yrs of working in Tenerife, so loved being part of the diving community there, we had people from all over the world, thank goodness Padi divers have standard signals. We always had a Boxing day clean up of the Islands harbours, One of the best things about diving is the camaraderie of the community and the way it all teaches you so much about yourself and the environment. Sometimes we're meant to be some where at a specific time to protect, prevent, aid, guide, witness, rescue, or simply comfort because that's all you can do. Sometimes that's all a person needs so they can calm down catch thier breath & breathe. I've always call these folks physical Guardian Angel's because honestly most of the time they will tell people, "I don't know why I went that way? I've never gone down that road before today, but I just turned down it & there they were. I truly believe someone above intervenes & nudges them to the right direction to help someone.

Apologies if this question has already been asked, but was there a follow up on the white car that was recovered? The guy said it had been stolen, so I am hoping LE determined the identity of the previous owner to rule out that this was the missing person’s vehicle. Google Earth tends to be a few years behind in remote areas. There are photos of me coming home being followed by a Google map car. That was a couple years ago.

Go back and check the date on the photo. Ive researched different events got excited when found said article and realized it was the wrong date or state or not specific info input for the search I was looking for. Good luck

Some satellite images can be years old before being updated with newer images, then it can sometimes be several more years before someone actually zooms in on a particular area and notices something!

We don't get the current Google Earth info, there's a couple year lag at times. Look for your place and see what has changed is the best way to know how far off timing is. Hope it helps. Thanks for all you do.

You should come to the lake i work on most days! Lake lanier in Northern GA has a MASSIVE footprint of water and so many boat ramps that drop in depth extremely rapidly. Would not have a doubt in my mind anywhere that their are cars and people down their plus catfish the size of vw bugs (or so rumor has it)

Just a question. How do you differentiate the sand hills from sand hill covered cars? I know in some rivers the sand will build up in hills on the bottom and cover a vehicle. Is it just height judgement? Weird question I know but I have been experimenting with our sonar in the lake we are docked at. Always willing to learn from others! Thanks and thank you for all you do! Great job! I wonder if you unrolled a doubled tarp down that hill...if the boat would have slid down and been easier to slip in the water and protected the boat bottom... Easier up too! You would have had to tent stake or tie off the tarp at top...hth
