Hi Taylah...I live here in Philippines . I searched for some videos about Australian accent then I found your videos and your videos inspire me to make scrunchies too for my daughter. She is 7 years of age and encouraging me to make and sell scrunchie too. Some advice from you about these is a big help for me. Thank you very much.

Hi Taylah I love watching you work and how you prep your work before you stay sewing. I have one question the little iron that you use to press your fabris for your bows where did you purchase the iron from. Keep up the good work.

I'm always amazed that you can keep the sound on as you work. If I did that, everyone would hear me speed talking to myself... 😅 Also, sorry it'll be a terrible weekend. But there's chocolate!

Haha I’ve learnt not to talk to myself while filming!! Or I cut it out 😆😆 Rhys and I have already had so much of the chocolate it’s been very tasty!

We definitely are! Much greener this winter than a few years ago. But it is causing quite serious flood damage in some states ☹️

I have been watching your videos for a long time. Thank you!!! I was thinking about how you make your regular scrunchies. Would it be easier to fold one end down about 1/4 of an inch? Then when you are sewing them at the end, the one end would already be folded over. Then all you have to do is tuck the other end in.

Thanks so much! I have tried this but I have to get super close to that edge when I sew (otherwise it leaves a gap) and with the industrial if it doesn’t sew on fabric and starts sewing before sometimes I loose the bobbin thread (so it’s not a viable option for me unfortunately) thanks so much for the suggestion hopefully it can help someone else!

Thanks for watching Lisa! I think I’m going to start wearing one. I did ask my specialist doctor and he said “it’s fine wouldn’t be causing any issues” but I think he’s wrong? Ahah so I’m going to start wearing one for when I do big batch sews and linty fabrics

Hi, enjoy your videos. What model sewing machine are you using please? Don't laugh, I live in an off grid cabin in a forest on a mountain....I have been sewing on an 1874 singer treadle sewing machine for a bit over 20 years.

So many scrunchies!! I'm confused. You sew the length of some. Then the burrito method. Then lay out several at a time that are sewn and cut the length. Need to go back to view your other videos.
@annickce2623
@annickce2623 2 жыл бұрын
The burrito is for the Xl one. The regular one are half length of fabric.. so to keep it faster, she will do the entire length and then cut them in half. She will get 2 regular scrunchies out of the same tube. To be more efficient etc.. Work smarter, not harder :)

Years ago I did a market at Toodyay , Western Australia to sell my fairy dresses and kids costumes etc … I had my gazebo ( almost brand new one , not a cheap one either ) pegged in , weighted and tied to some fence posts as they told me it gets a little windy …. all was going well then suddenly a huge gust of wind came through and literally ripped all the ropes off at the attachments on the roof and sides …the wind was so strong it broke all the stitching and pulled the canvas loops out of the canopy ! My gazebo went up , up , up and the ropes were still anchored to the pegs , fence etc …..it flew up right near power lines then dropped like a bag of poop right near a car . I was so terrified that it would hurt someone or destroy the power supply to the town but luckily it missed everything and everyone… omg I was a total mess ! Typical of a country town people came from all over and helped me pack up my goods , some men tried to fix the gazebo but it was a tangled mess of metal so it went in the skip bin behind the pub ….one lady brought me a cuppa from a cafe , another brought me a beer from the pub ! Everyone was amazing telling me not to stress and calming me down .. I ended up being given an indoor space for the second day and I almost sold out , I swear word got round and people felt sorry for me ..lol…wonderful country people, can’t beat them 🥰 I never used a gazebo again unless it was supplied by the venue 🤣

@TaylahRose

Back in the day when this wasn’t my full time job I was happy with $100 but now more like $300 + I consider a good market (depending on the stall fee) ☺️
