You’re the only one who’s mentioned “it would be suspicious if she did not” being her exposing herself so OBVIOUSLY I guess that kiss wiped all thoughts from his head or him being oblivious is just canon at this point. Luke said in an interview he could t tell Colin’s biggest secret without spoiling the plot so maybe he knows at an earlier point than we think? Well seeeee

For that kiss scene Penelope was basically begging Colin to kiss her she felt invisible for so long but she felt seen by him as he came to genuinely check on her I feel that she wanted it to be with the boy she had fell in love with for many years and in that moment I believe she really thought maybe I won’t find someone after trying and failing or having something else ruin her moments she felt despair but the kiss renewed her hope & boosted her confidence to try again . Now Colin I do believe he always felt something for Penelope since childhood but he always suppress it to worried about what others would say & think as soon as she asked him you could see he wanted to kiss her as well but he was holding back that’s why it took him almost losing her to truly let go and listen to his heart ♥️

First, not enough people talk about the sequence of when Pen when to the Bridgerton house, her facial expressions killed, funny for no reason. Second, how did I not catch that Colin hid his cut had when he was in the carriage ride with Eloise, that would have shown that there was much more significance and there actually being a reason for what seemed at the time, like a random flashback
