Yeah, the new version only surpasses the original one with Courage. Though in his defense, Tom scanned the new Maxxor after he just got out of a battle with Chaor and other journeys. Even with his abilities restored, he's not in tip-top shape. Though the Maxxor that Tom scanned ended up having memories of Maxxor that aided him more than the original. So statewise it's inferior, in the drome battles, it's better.

Yeah all the fighting is the reason he has less health and mugicians. Later on in the show you'll notice they upgraded him back to full stats

Actually, that's not quite it. The Chaotic TV show changed a lot of things between the original cards in the game and those in the show, and card properties in the show weren't alway consistent; Dractyl has Air attacks and a mugic counter in the show but his physical card doesn't, heck in some episodes he isn't even shown to have a mugic counter. Gespedan can't use Earth Attacks in the physical game but he does in the show, and Rarran doesn't gain Wisdom when next to other underworlds on the board. The Maxxor Tom originally had were the stats it had exclusively to the show (3 Music counters, higher wisdom, speed< and power), while the one he scanned later had stats and counters in line with the physical Maxxor from the first Chaotic set. The rule I noticed is that card effects, stats, and properties become more in line with each cords actual, physical TCG card with time.

Well, here's another fun fact, toms Maxxor card at the start has the stats of the ORIGINAL beta maxxor, Chaor in the game still has his beta stats, but maxxors were nerfed before the actual release, so his newer stats are the current game stats, while his previous ones were beta boosted stats Tom lost a REALLY valuable scan card

Fireking had as much character development as Vidav, only Fire was a friendly player, great at immersing himself with his creatures and even a bit concerned about his opponent, loke when cerbie was coded.

Well, Decomposition in the Chaotic cartoon sure is a terrifying mugic. Tom's efforts to figure things out was well intentioned, noble, and good improvisation. Sadly, figuring this all out during a match drew bad attention to him and Maxxor. At least now Najarin knows, sadly so does Von Bloot, but what I wonder is why Maxxor thinks going to the Underworld is his best bet? BRING CHAOTIC BACK!

Yeah, this show was excellent at foreshadowing and developing characters. Spoiler below Najjarin blaming Tom for losing Afjack was such a surprise later on, and they built it in a way that makes sense and doesn't create any plot holes.

So, theoretically, if you had a creature use mugic, battle gear, and location/creature effects, then scanned them, your scan would have all of those buffs? Like, if you scanned Chaor while he was under the effects of the Fortisimo Mugic, your scan of Chaor would be a giant basically all the time? I could get behind that. And it raises more than a few options for a Chaotic fanfiction I'm working on...

So, I know I’m late to the game, having only gotten back into this show recently...However this show covers so many topics you wouldn’t expect given when it came out! Cheating players, international exchange, a slight exploration into politics, gender equality, racism, schizophrenia (this episode), and so much more! This is the first season and each episode explored something interesting! My brother and I have said this every time we look at an episode: this show’s ahead of its time! Just in this episode, we’re seeing what’s essentially an unmedicated Schizophrenic scrambling to get his head together-seeing things that aren’t there, hearing & seeing only terrible things around themself, and all while in the heat of the moment! Maxxor is a warrior of great power and courage, not to mention a reputable leader, yet anyone in his position would cave under the stress of seeing monsters where his friends stand. Not being able to see your loved ones as anything other than enemies, being afraid to hurt people, and surrounded by uncertainty-this is a serious problem that needs addressing. When kids see this, they don’t think about it as anything more than a story, yet when they run into people who’re schizophrenic having an episode like this...They’re gonna vaguely remember this, or not remember it at all, and will be met with the answer of: treat this seriously, ask questions and figure out ways to help! Maybe I’m digging too deep into this yet this is a serious problem that I’ve seen destroy people, either in person or by proxy. This is way too similar to be coincidental

Imagine how terrifying that is for poor Maxxor. Having an abysmal Courage stat as is from Decomposition, and THEN reading what the Mugic is doing to him? Troubling enough to get somebody so terrified into action that they head to the Underworld in their current state. Tom looks like he feels bad about it all after talking to Najarin. He should too! I mean what the heck Tom? You love Maxxor so much, and you never look at the new scan in detail? You don't think your meeting with him and Intress was weird in any way? Maxxor sure seemed off to me. I mean he could've been sick, injured, or something horrible like being hit with a fatal Mugic like this. I wouldn't have known what, but I'd have known something wasn't right. I'd have looked at the scan as soon as porting back to Chaotic to check for any messed up stats. Then I'd have tested him out in the beta drome with a pal to see what exactly was wrong. ... Why didn't you Tom? Plot mechanism yes, but a nonsensical one due to him being such a Maxxor lover.

Fun fact: the Decomposition Mugic doesn't have any effect on the discipline stats themselves! In game, it only makes the target creature "fail all discipline checks on all attacks it plays". What that means is if an attack needs at least 30 Power to do damage, it wont do any, even if the creature has the necessary power. Think of it more like removing your access to stats than lowering them. I dont think theres anything in game that would bring his courage so low so quickly in the actual game lol

It's likely due to him just getting done fighting Chaor, from an in iniverse perspective. From a Meta perspective, it's probably to make his new Scan more accurate to Maxxor's Physical card.

It would severely limit their capacity to use their creature in a viable way. If you use a creature with low intelligence the only strategy you'll be able to come up with is attack attack attack

@@vexxama @B Gill Not even a 0-Intelligence case here, but works to showcase. Think of Borth-Majar when Kaz split them up. Without Borth, Majar is definitely not smart. He has intelligence of course, just hardly any most likely. I'd say 5. Even at that state Majar was shouting out attack names that he couldn't even use. So imagine a creature with 0 intelligence. They probably would do nothing. Same with courage. As terrified as Maxxor is to run and avoid combat, if it hit 0 he'd probably just be paralyzed with fear or run away endlessly.

Without a doubt those two are horrible and we thought players couldn't stoop any lower. But then at the beginning of season 2 we encountered literal chaotic terrorists who were blowing up locations and potentially hurting creatures just to make a 'profit'. Which could of put so many innocent Chaotic players in danger if Maxxor got fed up enough and decided to start capturing and imprisoning players in order to figure out whose responsible. Even Klay and Krystella never went that far.

Wait, so why is it that when Tom scanned Max'or (is this the right way to spell that name?), he didn't realise something was off about the points? 🤔 And last time he played with the Armageddon-guy (forgot his name) are you saying he didn't use his most powerful card against the 'unbeatable' opponent? That's why it seemed off when Tom lost, but didn't react as I'd expected. At least he is off from the unhealthy mindset that he needs to use Max'or for every tough opponent in every battle. 👍🏻

The episodes don't completely follow the order correctly at the end of season 1 tom and kaz get into a big argument and the problem isn't brought up until season 2 episode 2 or 3 it could be productions fault. Second Tom was so focus on getting a scan and he didn't bother to look at the disciplines. In chaotic creatures rarely have discipline problems from outside factors
