I love how even when Kaz's jealousy was getting the better of him that he was cheering for the other guy to beat Tom, at the end of the day, he accepts the idea that Tom might be better than him by talking about it with Tom, even if it upsets him. But thankfully, Tom renewed Kaz's self-confidence and remove all of Kaz's fears by assuring Kaz that the best Underworld player is none other than Kaz himself. Love these two best pals.

Same here. It’s fun to learn tips on other tribes to know how to fight them and invade you want to surprise your opponents. It would also be good to keep tabs on the other tribes in case of new battle gear and locations.

In card games, it's more fun to play a style you're not known for, especially against certain individuals. I like Stun decks, forcing people to play down to my level. So when I reveal I can play Fast Combo, it messes with them and they get mad. "If you couldn't beat me at my 'worst', how did you think you'd beat my best?"

This episode really comes to in a way show how much Tom has improved able to now utilize an Underworld deck. It would be neat to see Kaz do the opposite playing with an Overworld deck. Peyton has already been shown to use creatures from all tribes and it's actually kind of a shame we never really see Sarah's drome battles much. I believe having a team of creatures from all tribes could be useful when you have Elementalists in your team.

It'd be cool if the show comes back, could explain why the characters prefer a certain tribe. Like, maybe Sarah is really into insects in reali life, and maybe Kaz sees Chaor as a surroragate father since he doesn't appear to have one in the show, only a mom. Plus he's extremely nerdy, maybe he was bullied and Tom was his only friend, so when he was introduced to the underworld creatures, he saw how tough they were and didn't let anyone push them around and he wants to be like them.

Sarah is kinda right about Underworld players though. Think about it, aside from Kaz, take a look at some of the premier Underworld players in the series. Klay(Need I go on), Sam Shady(Who tried to trick Tom into revealing his strategy in episode 1), and Matt from episode 11(Who only battled Kaz to get info for Von Bloot on Chaor). When you think about it, you could also throw Kaz in there for the same reason as Matt, but he was trying to save Chaor so I guess we can give him a pass on this one. Underworld players in the series, aside from Kaz ofc, are proven to either be bullies or scammers of some sort.

This was an interesting episode, cause when it comes to TCG shows, the main cast (or character) rarely or not often use cards that aren't the ones the show creators designate their only usable types. And then never deviate from what is their prime deck of cards. So seeing Tom (and the other members) use creatures that are from other Tribes pretty often is pretty cool!

It is weird but it is like introducing a friend to a new game hoping you can play together, only for said friend to become way better than you. I can see why Kaz is jealous that Tom is better than him, Tom was able to pick up underworlders playstyle in such a short timespan while Kaz took time to build up his strategy and skill level.

@TenseDart Many of Kaz's losses came from arrogance and overestimation, a notable instance was Fire Fighters, Kaz could've easily won that but he made the mistake to try out a new move he saw earlier on Chaor.

Its weird in a world of collecting monsters and locations etc, you have so many that only use one tribe 24/7. I get specializing and having favorites but many do it out of prejudice and tribism more than anything else. Its also weird they don't mix it up, not all members of a tribe have an ability that needs another member and many have ones that combo better with other tribes in the mix. They even show them scanning things for other tribes that apparently they are never going to use but yeah i know its over thinking.

It's been a while since I've actually played but I think cards like Maxxor and Chaor can only be used with other creatures from their tribe which at least explains why main characters only use a specific tribe and an in universe reason to explain them scanning cards they seemingly never use could just be a simple as having them to trade for scans they wamt from their favourite tribe

It's an ability called Loyalty. A creature with it cannot join mixed decks at all. It's not just Chaor and Maxxor. Most top ranked creatures have it

I mean, my friends and I have been using Chaotic Recode recently and I favour Mipedians heavily. I just like invisible. I only tried Danians because of Kolmo. It’s fine for people to stick to one thing even if they don’t have to spend a bunch like they would for a physical card game. If the strategy is fun for them it’s all good, but calling out other play styles is dumb. Admittedly I’ve gotten salty a few times because I have the least chaotic experience, so I’m scrambling with decks and getting mad at myself for misplays or shortsighted plays.

while i do want chatoic show to continue I would much rather a remake were the mc just starts off with only one creature but has a bunch of battle gear an locations an they could make a joke about how he has great luck at finding everything but creatures an it would still be able to get into chatoic with one creature since from what I remember the requirement for joining chaotic is to win 20 matches
