I love these short videos, but what I love even more is your blog! The stories of your tea journey's told on your blog are so amazing, and give me a new insight into tea. I would love to see those stories come into your youtube too!

Thank you! I'm sorry, we apparently don't check our youtube very often... We generally keep ourselves busy, but we'll definitely see if we can translate any of our travels and experiences to a YT friendly format at some point!

Is there anything that distinguishes what people typically call gong fu style from chaozhou? This looks indistinguishable to me.
@horrudu4081Ай бұрын
Chouzhou is where gong fu tea developed from (or at least one of three Zhous), and is usually presented as a having one of the traditions of gong fu tea. In a broader picture, gong fu tea is an approach to tea where you use skill and discipline in every detail to perfect the tea you make. Today some think that gong fu is just brewing tea with a small pot or gaiwan. This is not really correct though.

Cant be just censor it a little and go Duck Soil Fragrance Tea
@BitterleafTeas3 жыл бұрын
That could work too, but we don't mind keeping things 18+ I guess 😂 There is already an alternate name for the varietal though, which is "银花香" or honeysuckle fragrance... it's just not as catchy.

@@BitterleafTeas is that right? Id take anything over the original. My tea ppl keep saying duck # tea and i dont understand how that begins or sustains a proper drinking experience

@@thedoubtfuls in Teochew (my ancestral home) they call it ‘ah sai’ fragrance and the translation of ‘ah sai’ is duck sh*t

@@thedoubtfuls I think it's a case of the name just being a name. The tea is also just the tea. A proper drinking experience is only what you decide it is. Ultimately what's in the cup that matters.
