I just had the zombies follow me and fall in to the cauldrons through trapdoors. Its a ton easier to do in survival because the mobs don't understand that trapdoors aren't solid.

Y'all probably don't know it but this is probably one of, if not the best iron farm for your survival world, at least until you need to be disgustingly rich in iron and build something massive. This one produces a very large amount quickly without taking up a lot of space or resources. 10/10 would recommend.

Be careful where you build this boat. If it's too close it will validate spots for golems to spawn and kill your rates if they aren't moved out of range fast enough.

Just an FYI for those of you doing this in 1.16.5, you dont need the workshops as they changed it so villagers dont need professions in order to spawn iron golems... So replace them with standard building blocks and keep everything else the same... Also make sure to cover the bottom half of the beds with carpet as well to prevent the villagers from standing on that after waking back up

I actually added this next to a village breeder. After making sure that all of the village breeder was covered in half blocks, this still generates 3-5 iron golem every 35 seconds. This really does the job!!!!

All iron farms can be 10 blocks above ground i believe. If closer the golems can spawn on the ground breaking the farm. You could spawnproof the land next to the farm with redstone or bottomslabs etc. But also spawnproof every cave that is in the 16 block radius

After trying many other iron farm designs and having them all simply stop spontaneously, I'm happy to say that this farm has produced a few stack of iron blocks for me now and is still running strong. However there are still some issues. Iron golems are wider than 1 block, but they spawn on a given block, regardless of whats around them. this means they can and sometimes do spawn on the base, but with their hitbox partially in the glass walls of the base. when this happens, they can jump and climb up onto the glass perimeter. This is a problem because they can actually then walk over to one of the end zombies and hit him through the cauldron. I fixed this so far, by simply not building the glass wall as high. but the "correct" fix would be to re-jig the water such that it always pulls them away from the glass even if they spawn partially in the glass. Aside from that, this is an awesome iron farm, I've never had this much iron on a server before, its hilarious, now I just have to make a villager trading based shopping mall and then I'll never need diamonds either. Soon I'll never need to mine again, I'll just rename the entire game to "craft"

​@@originated712 Firstly, you should sanity check the villager and zombie positions. Are the villagers in water? Are the zombies inside the cauldron? Then do a quick check again by placing blocks around the zombies such that their line of sight is broken, then you should see all villagers sleep that night, then remove those blocks, the farm should start back up. If that makes the farm start back up then you probably just need to replace all the beds and do that one more time. Oh also make sure the villagers or zombies haven't died. in his design, it is possible for golems to kill the outer two zombies. you can fix that by replacing the glass around the spawn platform with a single row of fences just floating in the air to block the water. Finally, if hiding the zombies for a night, letting the villagers sleep, then revealing the zombies again, does NOT restart the farm, then your game doesn't recognize your farm as a village, or it sees it as part of another village. You may have villagers with workstations or beds too close to it in your world

Para quienes no les funciona o al principio si, pero después no. -Revisen que no tengan nada alrededor de la granja, que sea de preferencia un lugar plano ya que puede spawnear algún golem sin daros cuenta y no aparecerán mas hasta que muera el golem. -poner una alfombra en las slabs en donde esta la trapdoor, por que se colara también un golem por ahí, se le paso a sifo decirlo pero es algo obvio xd. -Con lo anterior de que se cuela, es importante ya que se pasan a caminar sobre las orillas y llegan a matar al zombi y no nos damos cuenta; es horrible por que me mataron a 3 :C -Si no hacen respawn los golem, al parecer tiene la misma mecánica que las granjas de brujas o de guardianes, alejarse unos bloques de la granja, lo mas recomendable que sea hacia arriba, alrededor de la altura 172 y quedarse AFK, yo lo aplique y aparecen de 3 a 5 golem, seria cuestión de que cada quien experimente ya que cada circunstancia puede variar. Son solo observaciones, suerte. :D -Edit: Si tienen la posibilidad de hacerla sobre el mar, alguna islita o a orillas sirve

it works in 1.16.2 only a few changes, u dont need workbenches anymore, u can just place normal block instead, also where u place a trapdoor in front of the villagers, u have to place a trapdoor to the left and right of that trapdoor otherways they will wake up on the bed. with all of that i just made the farm and it works perfectly fine :)

This is such an awesome farm, Iv seen some of Gnembones fans on here talking shit and this farm is much better then his! It uses FAR less resources, even when stacked 3 times it still uses less resources then his single farm, doesnt require increased tick speed, rails or power, uses proper golem mechanics and averages 16 second respawns in my own personal testing!! The amount of resources/ Villagers it requires and the fact its 6 or 7 iron farms in one and only produces 4600 makes it an ok farm. IT requires redstone, rails and causes lag, It breaks often and takes up a whole chunk to build it!!! Thats ridiculous to say its a great farm!! Just 2 of my farms stacked matches his and still uses less resources then his farm! Like I said, its not bad but it isnt great!

It takes up way more room than a chunk, and is definitely more resource heavy than any other iron farm except maybe ilmango's broken 1.14.3-pre2 farm. However, It doesn't require increased tick speed, he just uses that to demonstrate. It also isn't laggy. The whole point was to reduce lag by only exposing them to the husk once in a while, making them not always scared and make your fps scared. Your farm is better in all ways but lag, and one other thing. To make iron famrs faster, you increase the amount of villagers (by stacking famrs or doing what you did and putting more villagers in a single farm), decrease the failed spawns (bigger spawn pads, yours are bug enough to be very efficient), and get them out of range of the villagers fast so that they do not clog spawns. The last matters the least, as long as you get them out in a reasonable time. That is why your farm is good. I really like both of your farms, but given a choice I would chose yours. Lag technically can slow rates, but the lag is so very minimal that it really doesn't matter, at all. The only way it would start hurting the rates is if you stacked a about a dozen of these things, but why would you do that?

Ive tried a couple other iron farms that work but not even half as good. 20 mins afk i come back and i have 7 more stacks. I was like wtf cuz my other farms only make like 1 stack per 30 mins. This farm is nuts and worth. I recommend making a villager breeder since you need 18 villagers but other then that this farm is insane and worth it.

Make sure they are sleeping and working. If you took the villager from a village go back to the village and remove all beds as your villagers may still be linked to their beds in the village and thus not sleeping st night

This farm is absolute monster and it works in 1.16.2! But! There is some changes you will have to make to it, First off you'll prolly notice your Golems will stop spawning after a while or slow down, that's usually because you'll have 1 villager out and just standing on their bed. Put a trap door on both the left and right of the trap door you already have. Another problem i was having was my golems were spawning on the rim of the machine towards the ends. I fixed this by running a fence along the back of it and placing water on the corners so when they spawned they would flow towards the middle. If you notice your zombies going missing make sure you have them tagged and the golems will also sometimes beat them up so i just placed a block next to it with carpet on it to detour them from beating on them. I know this might be a confusing comment but just wanted to give yall some ideas on fixing the issues :) 10/10 Iron Farm!

Thank you! I spent almost 8 hours to make the farm and I have no regrets, It's working very well. Obs: I used Drowneds instead of Zombies, and you can also drop an item to a Zombie or Drowned and if they pick it up will make the mob permanent as a Nametag do.

The Revenge remove all non translucent blocks beneath the glass. Iron golems won’t spawn if it’s just glass.

Place caroets on top to make them a non-spawnable block. When villagers wake up it has to happen on a spawnable block, and the only one is in the water

i don't think so. a composter's bottom is lower than a cauldron's bottom, and villagers and zombies won't see eachother. maybe if you remove the water and the trapdoors inside of it on each "village" you could lower the villagers' eyes and it'd work. if it doesn't, try trapdoors but no water. and if it doesn't work as well you'll just have to go with cauldrons. do the testings in a creative world. please confirm results, it'd be a huge advantage to the minecraft community

@@aurorapaisley7453 Or place two slabs on top of the cauldron, place on more slab in each direction of the upper slab and remove the upper one in the middle. Then place water in the half block hole and remove the lower one. Now you have a waterlogged block on top of the cauldron and if the zombie gets in there it will slowly sink in to the cauldron. Remove the water and the slabs when the zombie is in. It's a bit of an effort to invest but it'll always work as soon as the zombie hits the middle and you don't want to rely on your luck doing some fishing rod or shield stuff.

it usually stops working when I get away from it or log out of the server. A simple fix I found is to block the vision of all the three zombies and wait till night. When the villagers have slept for some time, unblock the vision again

yeah it is working on 1.19 but idk why it always spawns only 3 at the same time. can someone help? edited: wait i ihink i found the reason, you must move every zombie one block up... but it is still spawning max 5 golems not 6 edited again lol: I made it now it spawns as many as it should spawn! after moving every zombie one block up you need to put one trapdoor above the villagers, under (connect trap door to the celling) the celling (made from half blocks) and you need to delete carpets above the celling. you need to expand the celling with one half block by right clicking on the top of the carpet (the carpet is:) above the middle bed with half block in hand and you need to delete the carpet. and of course you need to put two trap doors by shift right clicking on the top of the beds exept the middle (with trap door in hand), and you need to do it on the top next to the work station (bc bed has two tops). and do this for all "workstation spots "villagers"". edited: oh and i forgot about that villagers needs to sleep to spawn golems, then i recomend you to put a one soul sand below the couldrons and replace couldrons with wather and surround the zoombie with 2 blocks and 1 slab from wather to the top and put a celling for the zombie (he must do not tough the celling). And then the farm should work forever and efficiently :) in 1.19 v. (i think u need to increase the platform to make it always 6 golems) edited: i mean do the zombies one block lower lol

Still working on 1.19.2! You can skip the workstations as villagers no longer need to have a job in order to spawn a golem. Also, I added two more trapdoors next to the one above the middle bed since one villager didn't end up in the water after waking up. Just make sure you cover these trapdoors with carpets to prevent golems from spawning outside the farm.

worked for me although the iron golems wouldn't drop from the water at first, I probably did something wrong. I played with the water placement for a little and got it to wor
