The pink-purple-blue ends would make a gorgeous night sky!

I'm sure Chapell will see the rug, and she will love it! It would be great for her to see the creativity she inspired.

I hope Chapel sees it, and if she does, I know she’ll love it. But even more, I hope she checks out your channel, cause I know for sure she’d love you.

I am so proud of you for reaching out and am so excited that it's happening!!! You are so freaking cool! That yarn seems like a nightmare, but I like the suggestions in the comments about using it for macrame or maybe crochet! I also wonder if the pumpkin-guts looking bits could be stuffed in the mask to look like guts spilling out!

Scissors might work out better than getting into a battle with Buzz over making smooth lines on the bat-mat, at least for the moon-side bevel. The bat might still carve okay assuming it's acrylic. The cotton yarn might be a pain, but my god it's beautiful! Tufting what's left of it, including the bitty balls, into a "plain" rug seems like a solid approach. No need to carve it, just tuft until the cakes are gone, no leftovers, and no mixed-fiber oddities. I think a half circle shape would look pretty cool if you start with yellow in the middle and sort of-rainbow-arch-outward until it's done. Allocating the right amount of frame space might be a little challenging though since you can't really be certain how big it'll be. But to that end, if it's done first you can finish it up then draw everything else around it. I did a google-fu on why the yarn is that way and didn't find much. It's called Stranded Yarn instead of Plied Yarn (as in ply, like 2, 3, 4 ply) which is multiple strands twisted together into 1. But a few of the people using it recommended using a bead (glass, pearler, the snipped off end of a straw, etc) to help keep the yarn together while you're working with it. Since you're working with all those loose strands x5, maybe it'd help to thread a bead or two along the yarn's path. ILYTAD

Very cool about the Chapell rug!!!! Anyway, about the leftover cotton yarn....the pink to purple to dark blue........as soon as you asked for suggestions, I saw a round rug with a black dead crooked, spooky tree and the pink/purple/dark blue yarn as the encroaching night sky with a sliver of moon behind the tree branches.

I think for the rest of the hobbii yarn rolls you could do another rug with a gradient moon and just have it go from the pinky purple to dark blue - that would look really cool

Oooooh that sounds lovely! And for the remaining orange, a pumpkin jack-o-lantern rug with pumpkin guts spilling from the mouth

Could you maybe use it for mini macreme bats? Each one would be different with different fades from the yarn. Could make cool bunting.

for the remaining Hobbii cakes, I'm picturing something similar to the bat and orange moon, but it's a wolf howling to the moon and the moon is those colors :D or maybe a witch hat where the bright color starts at the brim and it grows purple as it goes up to the tip. The colors are so pretty, they're very inspiring! I'd *love* to know if anyone knows why thoee yarns are so thready! It's been a longstanding question for me, too 😅

Where do you buy your yarn?
@kristalburns34903 ай бұрын
It looks like machine knitting yarns. I would need to know what yarn exactly to do any research on it.

Cotton yarn just doesn't have the fine, sticky fibers that acrylic yarn has. That's what gives it that thready, stringy texture, but also what gives a finished knit/crochet/macrame project that really smooth surface. It just might not be the best yarn for tufting🤷♀️

Amazing work on the chapell rug. And great news! If you’re looking for an alternative route maybe a warm lead would help. Someone who is familiar with the industry and can get in better touch, or a local radio or someone you know with alot of followers to build it up to get to her. Hope this helps!

The folks Heather got in touch with are part of her management company, so they're definitely connected. It'll 100% be in her orbit, but hopefully she'll get to enjoy it too!
