@chappelle1214 жыл бұрын
@@rt-ks2bh it was a full size cargo barrier, it was actually to suit a mitsubishi van I got it for free and just cut it and bolted the bottom to the top of the drawers. That way it left room for the water bladder between it and the seats.

What an awesome build! In the off chance that you see this 4 years later: Do you ever have issues with rain leaking in through the door seals where you have run wires from the roof and into the car?
@chappelle121 Жыл бұрын
Nope, never had any water come in there. I have since re-wired those and ran the wires just to look more tidy. I now have them come out of the left tail light and up to the roof there.

@alexfisk471310 ай бұрын
Wow, what an awesome setup! Very, very impressive. How did you mount the fire extinguisher - is the bracket drilled into the step by the rear seat? Great solution to get it out of the way. Love the removable divider and shelf idea too. Thank you
@chappelle12110 ай бұрын
Hi mate, yes - 1 hole is drilled and just a nut on the back of the plastic, and then got 1 longer bolt of the same thread to go into the original threaded car body mounting hole.
@hissey15 жыл бұрын
Nice setup. Curious on how you ran all the cabling up to the roofrack?
@chappelle1215 жыл бұрын
There are a few ways to do it, but I ran them out of the door seals, if you look at 2 minute mark you see the wires coming out of the top of the doors up to the roof.

@jasonyannuccelli24998 ай бұрын
Mate… that’s a setup to be very proud of ! 👌🏻 Maybe a dumb question but have you done something to make your kings air compressor stop when it pressures up ? I have one but I don’t think it stops like that at a high pressure. Maybe it does 🤷♂️
@chappelle1218 ай бұрын
If its a kings thumper max dual compressor, it should have an inbuilt pressure switch, you don't have to do anything it just cuts out when it reaches a certain pressure, which if your trigger is closed and it's not leaking anywhere it should reach that pressure very quickly and just cut out until you open the trigger or whatever again which will turn it back on.
@glynrowland836 жыл бұрын
Absolutely love your prado! It's given me a few ideas for my own one too. What is the make and length of your roof rack by the way?

This is a ripper rig mate! Any chance you’d be open to sharing your plans for how you built the shelf & divider? Just top notch work 👌🏻
@chappelle1213 жыл бұрын
Hi mate, thanks ! I don't have plans unfortunately, that one was all just off the cuff figuring it as I go. Basically just got a bit of wood for the divider and cut it in a shape that would work combined with the angle off the cargo barrier, couple hinges and carpet and its done! the shelf was the same deal, just got some wood and carpet and cut to fit in the space

Hey a bit late to the party, but nice set up! I just bought this exact model and wondering how your rear door handles the extra weight? I've only got the spare and standard tools on the inside panel and I feel the door is struggling with the weight!?
@matthewbrundle498211 ай бұрын
Hey like your set up. Wanting to put a shelf and divider like yours in my Toyota prado 2018 150. Just wondering what thickness wood did you use? Also how exactly did you attached it to handles. I can see the O bolts on the actual shelf but could t quite see how it attaches to the handle up top
@chappelle12111 ай бұрын
It was so long ago i don't remember to be honest, wood i would guess around 18mm. Attached to the handles by getting some threaded eye bolts that goes into the same thread as the handles. then another eye bolt on the shelf, and then a turnbuckle that goes between those eye bolts. and back the back just bolted to the cargo barrier.
