As a young business owner (6 years in) this is so refreshing to listen to. Patriot campers, Justin and the family have always been a massive inspiration for me. I mean my business is very different. But putting in hours of physical labour and the mental battle of persistence, I can totally relate. A picture of a patriot camper is on my office way....

Just some constructive criticism. First time listening to the podcast and it was a good flowing conversation that was entertaining and interesting. I could of listened for 8 hours if Justin had time. One thing that I found was when I click onto a podcast about a person I want to listen to that person being interviewed first and foremost not stories from yourself. Don’t get me wrong you need a flowing conversation that goes two ways but i was listening to hear what Justin has to say. I think researching about PC & PG would have been beneficial as I wanted to know more of Justin’s side from a personal view about how he recovered from the gas issue and what he thinks the direction of the camper trailer/Australian made market is going for the future in 20 years. You covered a good range of topics and I did enjoy the episode and will continue to listen to the podcast keep up the good work 👍

About half way through and really enjoying the conversation. I actually enjoyed the exchange of experiences and it really helped the conversation flow, you were both respectful of each others time. We are Australian manufacturers ourselves and its tough competing with a chinese market and loved the talk about trades etc my partner as a boilermaker has had huge success (to us, maybe not to others) and his university trained brother was always in the spotlight... still waiting for the degree to pay... I have a new born baby to attend to and will finish watching with my partner this afternoon. Many thanks for the great content !

Such an interesting journey told by two great story tellers. Thank you! I would be surprised to hear anyone who watched this video to not have the fire within themselves re-ignited or intensified by Justin's passion. Seriously, this guy is a motivational speaker and I don't think he knows it. No wonder his team at Patriot Campers are so driven.

good one. Happy to learn more about Patriot Campers and justin. following from France. looking for an X3 for my family in a close future. Retired from quad freestyle and now engage in family cognac business. 100% of those 3hrs refer to me. When i was 14-18, i said, i never want work like my father in his business. Now i'm in, fullgaz. Justin, from my experience. Let them do what they want to do, just let an open door. Dont push them. the day they are back, you'll have to put you on side and let them some space for manage on their own. i have been at there place. wish the best for all of you guys

Love the podcast, I feel that you need to dial back the swearing a bit though. To give an honest opinion from someone who swears just as much as the next guy, when you swear it almost makes me feel awkward in a way, and it seems out of place as it is so frequent. Fair enough if it’s a a swear word here or there for something that is in depth or you feel passionate about, but the frequency takes away from that. I hope this comes across and constructive for you. Thanks heaps for the content, this was a great interview with Justin.

I’m no expert and I suffer from talking like a bafoon but jeez mate, lesson the F bombs...it detracts from the conversation (in my opinion). watch Joe Rogan he swears but he seems to have the right balance of using it in his interviews...you (in my opinion) are a bit top heavy...I am really keen to listen but its hard going at times and “I’m rough as guts”...just a thought...
@johngriep53522 жыл бұрын
I think it sucks when people drag Haiden in all of this mess. All of these interviews there are new things and things that are missed. If I was Brian Deegan yes I want that bike cause it could be the last bike my son wins an Amateur title in and it would be a great piece to save for Haiden. Brian has been through it all in MX Sports he knows those memories are what you hold on to. Plus yes his son not only had a race the next day, but he is trying to run the following weekend to try and get pro points. His future is on the line. We all know the bike is not tge same bike you get off the showroom floor so not something they can pick up, on their way to the next race. The amount of time Star spends with each rider to just set up the bike for each individual rider is just crazy. Star said strait out they understood the claiming rule. Their only concern was parts in the bike were labeled and it identified the manufacture of certain parts, because tgey do buy parts from vendors, because it is not a factory bike. It was also stated tgat Haiden wrote a factory bike the week before Lorettas and he hated it, because he still does not have a ton of time on a full sized bike, we look at him like a natural and he is ready, but less than a year in the bike.. if everyone thought the bike was illegal, let it be known 250B is an unlimited class so if The Deegan owned tgmhe bike and wanted to spend 200k on it they could and be within the rules, anyone can do that sponsors are the people that allow an amature the ability to invest money and products into their bikes. Watch videos of the kids on the podium whe interviewed the too kuds are thanking their engine builders between the Engine and Suspension they are the most expensive parts of the bikes. I would venture many bikes are closer to the 40k price. As mentioned tensions were high and you have 5 people saying the meet with Brian Deegan was 5 minutes, and two who were equally heated saying 20 to half hour. Somewhere in the middle is a truth. As far a Brennen, yeah he might have gotten paid back in just views from KZbin videos and views. The Engine builder contradicted himself again. He says in one breath i will not touch the engine. Then says he wants to run it on his Dyno for Brenben to keep making money on videos to recoup and or make money, after riding the bike you know everyone will want to see the bike tore down and see what is inside those cases. If what Yamahe is saying is true there are labeled parts from suppliers in there, that secret is out. They do not want everyone in the industry and every engine builder in the country to know them. Plus it is not just making parts and engine builder get from looking in those cases, you get tolerances, how the engine is actually built there may be things they are doing inside that you are not, or may not have thought about doing. So You bet the engine builder wanted Brennen to get that bike from the second Brennen said he was going to claim it, he was your best buddy from that very moment. Brennan and his sponsor. We really do not know the whole story there. If he told the engine builder he was going to claim the bike, I am sure he told people at the dealer he was going to do it. He was working at the dealer to make the money to do it, so they knew. We do not know that the sponsor told him it was a bad idea before he did it and tgat he should think about not doing it, because he will get dragged into all of the BS. He is a businessman he also knows Haiden Deegan is selling a lot of Yamaha products. Sad to say as of the Race Brennen was not the face and future of the brand. Piss off those potential Yamaha buyers and they will go to the next dealer. It could be suicide for hus business. Brennen put his livelyhood in jeopardy, for what, KZbin videos? There is way more to that story that is not being told and Brennen needs to come clean. Last thing in this long ass post. The claiming rule has been in effect for over 50 years. You claimed a bike in 1980, it took months and months for any info to get out about the bike just a few magazines out there to get the info out there about the bike..Of those magazines there may not be any that woukd really want to publish anything about the bike, because they require the manufacturers for advertising to make money for the editors. Maybe the parts guys would like their parts to get out, but they just burned a bridge for them because now your manufacturer is going elsewhere for parts and technology

Good podcast, Justin is a legend of a bloke and an inspiration. Some constructive criticism though - Talk less and listen more, I understand you need flowing conversation BUT many times you were talking and Justin tried to interject and you kept on rambling and cut him off, the podcast is about him and his story, not you and yours. Other than that, nice work mate.

@Patriot Camper - Justin: I don't excuse the personal attacks on your family but saying that Patriot Campers pays your bills opposed to Patriot Games is a flawed concept. Your social media feeds into the Patriot Campers brand, they are intertwined by their nature. I'm not having a go, far from it, I thoroughly respect what you and your family have achieved.
