The insertions of the maps of Arda and the Undying Lands are so very helpful in explaining the events of Eärendil's journey with Elwing to Valinor, and the War of Wrath launched by the Valar. This is a superb reading, and stands the Silmarillion on its merits as much as Homer's Iliad and Odyssey. Thank you very much for the time and effort expended on crafting this wonder.

Oh man, I feel silly. The Light of Eärendil- it didn't click for me until he showed up against the Dragon fleet. And then I swear, I totally didn't get teary eyed at all! 🥺✨
