Chapter 8: The Numbers: Get in Order!

Welcome! My name is Toby D Morris, and I’m the author, illustrator, and publisher of The Numbers!
Today I’m reading Chapter 8 from the first book in the series, The Numbers: Get in Order! Originally, each chapter within the book was intended to be a book by itself, aimed at younger children, until I decided to expand and upscale each story before putting them together (in order, of course) and creating The Numbers: Get in Order!
Turn 8 upside down and what number do you see? You still see 8! Like many other numbers, I came up with the 8’s story by the way he looked. He looked natural being upside down, as he did the right way up! 8 spent a lot of time upside down and looking at things in another way, and this helped him learn to think differently to others and come up with new ways of doing things. This made 8 open-minded, and his new ideas helped other numbers who were set in their old ways of thinking to also look at things differently. This is why he became the next number to count on!
