This is so incredibly interesting. I've lived in Monmouth County all my life and have finally taken the time to learn the history around me after moving to the beautiful Atlantic Highlands and it's fascinating. So much rich history that I never knew about, I've spent a lot of time seeking out photos of old postcards to see what certain areas looked like and it's incredible to see their transformation. I appreciate you taking the time to make this video! It was very interesting, and there isn't enough information about Monmouth County's history online, in my opinion.

Beautifully portrayed bringing back personal memories as a child growing up in the 60's and 70's in Spring Lake. A very informative history of development of the Jersey Shore. It is a shame to have seen the loss of our cultural heritage by the demolition of the finest architectural marvels, I witnessed, as a young teenager the removal of the majestic Monmouth Hotel. and as I just discovered an hour ago the Warren Hote lin 2001. I have been away for many years and do not wish to return knowing that Spring lake was defaced by not preserving its historic and cultural heritage. Glad i am not there to witness its desecration

Thank you so much, Christopher! Sadly, a lot of our historical and cultural heritage has disappeared up and down the shore. Cape May, Ocean Grove, and a lot of other towns really work hard at preserving things the best they can. It takes a team effort.

@@historyofthejerseyshore In Europe especially in Italy it is illegal to tear down, plow under or deface any building of antiquity. By law they are restored and revered I am presently studying Tartarian culture and the majestic structures that they created and were left abandoned and occupied by later generations. I'm in Keyport, just a mile from the Middlesex County border. Will you be touching on this part of Monmouth County in a later episode?

@@fanaticat1 Your area gets the most requests for an episode and I mistakenly didn't cover it enough in earlier chapters. I focused more along the Atlantic Ocean and didn't realize what a major part of the shore your area is. Yes, I really want to do an episode about your area in the future. Thanks so much for your interest. :)
