In an interview in Sept 1992 Guitar Player (Joe Gore interviewer of The Cure for the mag) , Robert Smith said that this is one of his top 5 favorites (at that time). He said that he went into a trance after listening to this 20 times in a row.

NEAT! Robert Smith is a god. I've been listening to this album for a looong time and its always been so underrated. Its just pure magic. Falling down supposedly inspired "Mysterious Ways" by U2 to some degree, pretty sure they were fans of this album too It could be the most underrated album of the nineties They also played right after nirvana at reading festival... This band has a ton of history

that's something spacemen 3 did, listen to the same song over and over again, it does put you in a kind of trance. and that concept definitely comes through in their music, very repetitive (in a good way)

+aqua Did I say otherwise :D? Just thought to bring up my two pennies on the subject. I fancied the 80's a lot more to be quite honest. It went a bit downhill when the 90's came, especially with all the incense reeking neo-hippies and baggy youth, which got a few good slaps by me and some of my mates from the gym. Some good times also during that decade, but to be honest, no need to be nostalgic there love. The drugs were better in the 80's (Cocaine only, wouldn't touch that Ecstacy crap), and music was better to be quite honest. To each to their own of course.
@ANPHKI7 жыл бұрын
Well said Arturo. Couldn't stand the fucking pathetic hippie sods at the time (and still, yuck). Always a bummer at the raves, knocked the fuck out of one guy who in a Rave in Somerset once, shaking his dreads in front of my face. The scumbag was crying afterwards like a proper baby Lmao... Despite the dirty hippies, it was alright I guess, the 90's. I had my share of fun, bit too young to experience the raves in the 80's but heard those times was mental. Big brother used to go then.
