funny to hear Pissburgh fans saying the Hornqvist hit was clean, head snaps back, nose busted and bleeding but yeah, in Pittsburgh that's clean. No penalty and no league Discipline either for Hornqvist, in Pittsburgh, that's Standard operating Procedure.

If somebody knows. I heard Chara in an interview say that he didn't really want to beat up people or be the bad guy. But because of his size. He eventually was placed in that position. So he embraced it. Does anyone know if this is true?
@casmatt99 Жыл бұрын
Chara is tough as nails but watching him play for years, it's obvious that he only ever tried to really hit guys hard if they came after his team first. He knew he could obliterate almost anyone on the ice he wanted to, but as a leader he only stepped in when it was necessary
@boolikethebear8 ай бұрын
chara was a fake tough guy. go back to the mid 2000's and watch him go against guys like laraque and brashear. he would turtle, or wrestle guys to the ice immediately. it wasn't until the age of the enforcers was over that chara would start acting like a tough guy.
@Seegster777 ай бұрын
Theres some truth to it. I’m sure playing for the Bruins and that kind of crowd every night made him more of a warrior over time. What made him scary was his temper. He would snap and forget how big he was. Like almost taking Gallaghers head off with a cross check after Gallagher slashed him in the ankles a few times. Think he only got a fine for that.

Don’t jump off the ledge yet. Murray is definitely missed here. Unfortunately, the salary cap kept them from keeping Fleury. But give Brassard time to gel with the rest of his teammates. It takes a little more time for a center to adjust to his line mates, than it does a winger. Pens might not get their three peat, but their window is far from being closed. Their stars are signed up for a few more years, and they’re signed at a bargain price. Salary cap is going up, and they’ll spend the money to stay competitive. Guarantee they’ll go after a worthy backup goalie, and another D man come summertime. They whiffed on Neimi last summer, but they got him cheap, to get under the cap, and they had no idea that a former Stanley cup winner was a dumpster fire, until he took the crease in his first regular season game.
