My crafting loadout is also my trading loadout with charisma perks like Hard Bargain and magnetic personality for better prices. Having happy go lucky for extra luck while crafting and inspirational for the extra XP crafting can give is also useful.

Great video, I just made a crafting build last week and man it make a huge differance in resource usage from building to repairs to crafting, wish I had of done this years ago. and your right noodle it does only takes a couple of seconds to switch from your main build to a crafting/repair build.

I been playing 76 for just under two years now, just 4 to 6 months in I came to the same idea to have more then one save loadout build to change to with just a click of a button. I've lost count the times I go to my camp and change my perk card load out to repair, cook and make ammo, then go off to an event and wonder why my character is so weak and their weapon is almost useless (I forgot to change back to my fighting perk cards😄). I now have the survival tent with the perk card changer so it's not too bad, but I still forget.

Great video! And a good reminder to actually use this loadout… My problem is forgetting to switch TO my crafting build before I’ve just built for 1/2 hour! Not switching back to combat build before events isn’t an issue because of “over encumbered” 😅 Even with this forgetfulness, I have a lot of building materials from scrapping pews & armor (with scrapper card) and my habit of buying bulk junk. If I get close to max caps, I’ll buy a bunch of bulk junk from a train station to spend some caps & top up the hoard! 😂

Buying bulk junk to burn off caps is a great idea! I usually just buy stuff from lower level players’ vending machines. The other day I bought a “You’ve Been Insulted” note for 10k caps from a L24 player just to help him out. -oskapt

They used to put the Camp slot and Build slot on sale every now and then when they were first introduced, I think for 50% off so I bought several back then. I haven't seen them put those on sale recently, but with all the new folks maybe they'll do it soon. I'd like a new camp slot to build in the new area and maybe a new character slot to try the ghoul build.

Great video! Lots of good information here. I've had a secondary loadout for crafting/selling/building since the multiple loadouts were introduced. However, I would make one huge suggestion: DO NOT add weight-reduction cards or strength cards to your crafting build. Typically this would mean that you are instantly overencumbered as soon as you switch to the crafting build. This helps because you won’t be able to fast travel while still wearing the “wrong” cards. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve jumped to a SBQ event and figured out that I was still using Super-Duper instead of my heavy cards. My build looks much different than the one in the video, but it works for me. My crafting build is maxed out in charisma, Intelligence, and luck. High charisma means that I make more caps selling items to the vendor bots. Intelligence has all the repair bonus cards and Contractor to reduce resource use. Maxed out luck means super-duper will pop more often (meaning I have extra armor, weaps, and chems to sell/scrap for more resources). Cards that I ALWAYS have in my crafting build: Hard Bargain, Magnetic Personality, Fix It Good, Weapon Artisan, Super Duper, Home Defense, and Contractor. The rest can be switched around according to my immediate need.

Cool. Good tips. I'm still not sold on charisma for MY gameplay. I'm always maxed out on caps. I give away more stuff than I buy, and I don't use vendors anymore. So, it's never a trading loadout for me. I'm above all a builder, so resource management and production are more important to me. I don't mind getting fat when i craft at all. It's really obvious to me when I'm in the wrong loadout, ... coz I can't move hahahaha.

i treated myself to 3 extra slots for builds when bethesda had them half price on sale, and ive never looked back. 5 is the Right number of loadouts for me. 1) My stealth build - alien blaster secret agent vats. lots of small energy weapons from the shadows. amazing for playing about in the wasteland killing regular monsters. 2) Homebody build - everything i need for both crafting items and building my camp. it keeps me fed, my gear fixed up, and helps me build my camp easily for cheap. 3) shoppaholics build - Maxing my money and carrying stuff home from the whitesprings, and has the int cards i couldnt fit in my homebody build (the ones that buff Chem creation and the science cards. basically the ones i think fit the theme of a character that makes expensive items for sale) 4)PA tank build - for when i want to carry heavy weapons and make stuff go boom instead of sneaking about. 5) experimenting with new builds slot.

I'm a member of Loadouts Anonymous! I have 6 loadouts (currently)...Soloing, Events, Power Armor, Explosives, Crafting, and Selling. If I had more space in my stash, I'd probably have at least 2 more loadouts for each of all the other weapon types.

I don't want to spend Atoms on the extra loadout yet too. I just simply swap out the related perk cards (Super Duper, Scrapper, Ammosmith, Gunsmith, etc.)

The first two loadouts are free. I keep one set of cards just for selling items at the vendors, repairing armor, and building in my camp. The other set of cards in my gameplay build with cards for strength, damage, and stealth.

I don't have a second loadout, I run a build for full health as a general purpose, non PA build. PA I only use in nuke zones, rad rumble for ore gathering and Eviction Notice for repairing the rad scrubber. I swap in cards as and when I need to and because I'm forever looting I never run out of resources. Camden park has not a speck of junk by the time I'm finished there. I can see the value of it but I've played with a few people who forget to swap builds back and struggle at events or bemoan 'wasting' resources.

For my crafting build, I also use it for trading, so I use the travel cost reducer and the hard bargain. I also have weight reducer perks in strength for crafting. Might help some people, have a good one!

I like to max out my charisma too on my craft build, as I use it to get the max caps from the vendors and to purchase the things I may purchase. The Armor/Weapon craft cards I switch in/out when doing those. Granted, I find many times that I am in front of a boss and I realize how I forgot to go back to my Weapon Build.
