You should really talk more about his chip damage. That's one of his premier features since he's the only character who can chip with Normals outside of Resonance Blaze. Resonance Blaze will add even more chip damage. 5AAA 5BBB 236A236A on block with level 4 resonance blaze is an easy 50% in chip alone meterless.

LChaos2 yeah Hyde's resonance chip is like getting hit in Uniel. You do NOT want to be on the defensive versus Hyde.

David Rigdon Hyde Astral also can be canceled out of 5BBB auto combo. Well, he is the chip damage Monster. Being defensive just make you dies faster since chip damage won’t sent the character defeats. But being defensive do increase the chances of you defeat, since once you hit all characters when your life left very-very-very thin paper. There are some circumstances that could happen such as drawn out battle.

Elyon Ragna only have certain move that has lifesteal and chip and it’s actually less than Hyde. Hyde basically has sword that if you attacked by it you get chip damage. Another character that has lifesteal is Carmine albeit it’s less than Ragna since his most damaging combo also inflict recoverable damage to himself.

Great guide! As a baby Hyde main, I feel a lot more confident in my skills! Also, you should check out a Japanese fighting game called Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax. The game is like regular UNIB, but you can reverse beat like crazy lmao. So you can do JA JB JC JB JC JB to extend the combo, and the combo recipes look ridiculous. Great game bc it has Kirito in it. xD

you forgot to say that if you imput 236 b/c after black orbiter (236 a) he jumps in and does a slash, i think it can be coverd with an assist to make it a good ingage

Any tips on picking up with his 5a after 214b cannot seem to get the timing down and 90% of the discord combo's use it. Nice video, really bummed no combo's though. Also no hate but if you want to shorten up the videos you can stop repeating that you're going to shorten the videos lol must have told us you where streamlining them about five or six times+ /s. Still the best content for newbs like me out there though so Thank you.

Thanks for the reply, i'm pretty new at this but I assume being further off the ground means you can delay the hit later, because at the moment I can't seem to delay long enough before landing or does height having nothing to do with it and I am just missing the timing.

Simon McCaffery it's height. not further off the ground. on the last hit, you get as close to the ground as possible on the final hit of 214B. then 5a will hit.

"Hyde assists average" His neutral assist probably the single best assist in the whole game. Hard to punish, great in neutral, hits ridiculously high in the air (both hits), highest blockstun in the game, high damage, incredibly easy combo starter even full screen.

I don't play Jin, but Yang/Hyde has been serving me pretty well. Yang's immense damage w/Hyde's assists are really good. Not to mention you can kinda zone w/Yang and Hyde's projectiles and be _REALLY_ lame if you want to. Of course, there's Yang's semblance as well. It's just a good team.

Faboover all characters can 'animation cancel' their attacks. A reverse beat allows them to animation cancel any move into one that hasn't been used in that specific chain. While non-uniel characters have much more specific routes for canceling normals

Meme Dream Machine “Animation Cancel All” might be more appropriate then. I’m just confused about the terms used. “Reverse” seems kinda okay, but “Beat” makes me think that a type of reversal comes into play when someone is attacking you, which isn’t the case here.
