in this version of the animus the machine translated ancient arabic into modern day english later in revelations ezio sees altair's original memories unaltered (its just translated for us, the audience) thats why his voice has an arabic accent, to closer resemble his real voice

Alpha i dont know, i liked the voice but its like he put too little effort in it, he was the only one who wasnt speaking with an arabic accent in ac1, it felt a little out of place. (i still like him as altairs voice though)

tastymuffin1 Originally, Phillips did have an accent to Altair's voice, but the directors changed it at the last seconf because they thought he had "an awesome voice" I gotta agree with em on that.

Peter Renaday as Al Mualim is legendary, and that character's dialogue from the first game is highly quotable. I think AC1 has been my favorite, because the motivations of the Assassins versus the Templars were clear, and all of the secondary characters were more well developed. Al Mualim and Vidic were amazing. It is the only installment with voice performance and dialogue I might put up there with games like Legacy of Kain.

1pk155 I'd rather have a voice actor who doesn't fit in two games for consistency's same than have them change to a more appropriate one after I've become accustomed to the first. Maybe it's just me, but I didn't like Revelations much anyway, so it doesn't really matter.

People seem to forget that Altaïr's voice wasn't fit for the setting he was in. People in Masyaf didn't talk with an American accent, that's probably why they changed it in AC:Revelations.

I have just started my real assassins creed journey to play all games in order, and I just finished Assassins Creed 1. Well that game is old, but very epic, but short I have to admit cuz I finished it in one day. But I have to tell, it is a slow pace assassins creed game, that was how I felt it and the story was great but I feel that Ubisoft did a great job with it anyway. And the voice overs is amazing, and also Altaïr :)) AC2 here I come!!
