The goal at a workplace is not just to be great at your job, but we also want to get along with our co-workers in the process. The last thing anyone wants is to deal with bad behavior from a co-worker.
The same applies to a set of movies or TV shows where a typical day involves long hours that could start at four in the morning and end at midnight. However, getting rid of actors who have some weight in the industry can be tricky.
Writers and directors have to get creative at times to cut the fat from their stories and sets. Here are characters killed off because of an actor's awful behavior.

Isaac Hayes’ son also said that isaac was fine with the Scientology episode but the church wasn’t and had practically forced him to quit
@candktoo1145
@candktoo1145 3 жыл бұрын
@Kyler Klunder - Had Hayes been Catholic, Muslim, Baptist, or any other religion, those churches would have been equally intolerant of any member of their cult being portrayed as the joke that they truly are, equally offended, & most importantly, equally unable to defend the utter nonsense (when examined with an ounce of objectivity) they peddle to the sheep who throw $ at them (which they keep tax free) in hopes of purchasing their way into their chosen religion’s adaptation of the make-believe afterlife “paradise” that they all seem to have in common. A religion is a religion is a religion. Six of one, half dozen of the other, they’re all complete scams on those too cowardly to face death. Everyone is convinced that the one they are either born into due to their location of birth or the people that they were born to is the one & only true one & unfortunately, these beliefs have led to every single war throughout history beginning with the sun worshiping neanderthals killing off the moon worshiping neanderthals. Religious belief is a self-inflicted plague on mankind that could be cured simply by removing one’s head from one’s ass, growing a pair, & coming to terms with the fact that we only have one shot at this. So, instead of taking the cop out of “praying” for someone, we actually do something to help one another. Instead of seeking forgiveness from an imaginary friend, we seek forgiveness from the person/people we’ve wronged. Instead of throwing money at an indoctrination factory built to sustain & spread itself to insure it’s financial future, we invest in the people these cults should be helping financially instead of recruiting them to spread their disease. Religion is the root of all evil, my friend. No matter the label on the door, the fairy tale book they read from, or the imaginary friend they worship, it’s all detrimental & should all be skewered, made fun of, investigated, & shut down forever.

Scientology is a fraud. I once met one of the writing circle that Hubbard was part of. It was all based on being pissed off at the taxes charged on his first real income, and finding a way to screw the IRS out of its cut by creating an exempt 'religion'. Hubbard himself thought adherents to his fake religion were stupid to do so, and deserved to be milked for every penny. It was remarkable learning the truth behind it all from an actual witness that was there from before it began.
@candktoo1145
@candktoo1145 3 жыл бұрын
Jennifer WhiteWolf - That had to be a very interesting conversation. Unfortunately, it’s no different than mainstream religions when analyzed objectively. If you take the alien creator living in the clouds from the bible & exchange it with an alien creator from another planet, you’ve got scientology. All religion is fraud & gods will exist as long as people fear death.

I also think the writers were out of story ideas. I swear most of season three forward was from them stealing ideas from sci-fi novels at the time. I worked on Criminal Minds as a background artist when I first moved to LA. I've never watched the show, but the scene was supposed to be really simple: it was an execution scene of a criminal, with the camera focused on Mandy and the rest of us just watching what took place. Mandy is a method actor... and he was seriously distraught trying to get to that place. Every time I hear the story of him leaving the show, I remember that day of working and just nod my head. Normally, my advice is always that actors stick on the gravy train until the end of the track, but he was a really sensitive guy using a process that is deeply personal and he wasn't able to turn off the switch. Some actors can, or choose to, and some can't, or won't. In any case, I think he did the right thing, because if you can't turn off that switch at the end of the night and disconnect, you're going to get pretty messed up pretty fast in this business if you're dealing with dark subject matter.

Frankly I'm surprised at any actor that can stay on a show like Criminal Minds as long as some have, I have no problems believing long-term acting in such conditions can be harmful for one's mental and emotional well-being. Too much exposure to the dark side of humanity and not enough positive to offset it (since obviously you're watching dark murder after murder before you maybe capture or kill the murderer(s) at the end). I'm glad he was able to realize it and leave before it was too late for him.

Sheen's character was written off and "killed" after he married Rose and went on a honeymoon in Oaris, France. Where he was supposedly run over by a subway train, according to Rose. Rose put Charlie in her basement and was there the entire time that Kutcher was in his place. On the finale, he escaped Rose's basement, contacted his lawyers and had them make reparations to most of the other characters of the show, including just about every woman he slept with. His piano was being brought in by a chopper in an "Apocalypse Now" style nod to one of Sheen's former acting roles. Someone who looked like Sheen walked up to his house to almost knock on the door, which was when the piano dropped on him. Then Chuck Lorre stood in front of the same door and exclaimed, "Winning!" only to have a similar piano drop on him in the same way.

@Peter Ang and the only reason that Scientology got away with calling themselves a church and not having to pay taxes is through the blackmail and extortion of several IRS employees, it was the IRS vs. The Church of Scientology in court. Not because it is actually a church in customs or in structure. Because they won a court case using the same horrible tricks they pull on their own followers. This is all well documented and known about. However the cult leader, David Miscavige, would not let his followers read bad things about the "religion" they're paying thousands of dollars to be a part of, so scientologists don't always realize just how fake their cult "religion" actually is.

Nonsense. Patinkin went from a show where he has to meditate everyday on killers of women who hack up children, rape whoever and then make milkshakes out of them (not literally). On Homeland, he strategizes on national security where there is sometimes death. There is a big difference. Also the quality of writing is very apparent. I loved Criminal Minds, but c'mon. Patinkin is a method actor. A very serious one. He is also a bit eccentric and a bit of an artist/musician/writer. There is a massive difference between playing a criminal profiler that puts themselves into the mindset of various murderers after coming in off a nervous breakdown and a counter terrorist specialist. If you haven't ever seen him be himself it will likely shock you. He is all over the place and not at all how I expected him to be.

Jamason Bell OK - this is why I prefer movies with subtitles Sometimes the subtitles reveal more than what the actor says Especially when there’s a lot of background noise or the actor does not talk clearly There are also times when the subtitles actually say something that one could not hear at all Subtitles are an issue with me because there is a potential market out there but the film companies don’t make use of it There are many people that are deaf or hard of hearing like me It would be great if all shows would have subtitles both on the big screen and on TV Ok I hear the moans from normal hearing people Subtitles are a big distraction especially some that bounce all over the screen and can be very aggravating but surely someone could come up with something that would allow viewers to wear glasses with a filter so that they can at hand the movie with subtitles and those that don’t want to can watch it normally Something like the 3D glasses in 3D movies I for one would go to a movie that catered for the deaf and hard of hearing
