A character that deserved better is 100% Shinji His dad hates him, his mum died, Was forced to pilot a Mech with his mothers soul inside of it, Failed to stop the third impact, Friend(asuka) died. And this is only the Series and original “Movie” In the other timeline, he fails to stop the third impact, wakes up after a few years, his friend (asuka again) hates him for accidentally nearly killing her. His other friend (Rei) Dies. MULTIPLE TIMES. And he had to kill one of his only remaining friends because he’s part of the First Angel. Shinji fr had it BAD
