My God! This man was so harsh in his joint examination. Charcot joints are extremely fragile and such harsh manoeuvres can lead to fractures! During all our post grad exams we are told to not do any manoeuvre moving the joint and if at all the examiner gives permission the doctor should be extremely gentle! Idiotic despicable non respectful heartless orthopaedic surgeons! Such doctors would not be allowed to practise in the UK surely

Same in the US as well. There is no difference between the patient who doesn't give a shit about his health, been drinking and smoking for several decades and don't take insulin to control his diabetes properly and the educated young doctor. They should not take medical profession just for making money. Medicine is Science focusing on human body. This careless patient might end up with bilateral amputation below the knee and inviting his own premature death due to complications. Total contact casting is not suggestablefor Charcot foot due to many reasons. Recently my brother in law got Charcot foot and I studied about this condition since I am a science doctor.
