This is pretty much what Poilievre was talking about long before the Trump threats. It’s the Liberals that have been holding back market diversification and improvements to the Canadian economy. It has taken threats from our biggest trading partner to make the Liberals wake up from policies that are inhibiting progress.

Canda is a great country full of brilliant people and abundant resources but the country is run by a bunch of --. When was the last time we talked about energy East pipeline? Quebec and Ontario stoped that line. In the name of environment we are stopping all the infrastructure work. We are so dumb. Now is the time to seriously think about diversifying our resources and development

Do you have to go through Quebec and Ontario. Go through Churchill. Much shorter and the shipping season is getting longer all the time. The world is looking to the north for shipping and resources.
@HaroldMckee-u4o
@HaroldMckee-u4o 4 күн бұрын
Oil is not the only commodity we can export, the pipeline can also stop at Thunder bay and floated out the St. Lawrence it has to shipper by boat across the Atlantic why not load as soon as possible less costly to that market place. You somehow forget the Lac Machic issue where the whole town was decimated by a derailing of a US train, how are you going to provide guarantees to Quebec

@@im_crusty_two .You do realize that Hudson Bay is only ice free 150 days or 6 months of the year and that area is mostly bogs & fens which makes it tough to build the infrastructure to ship resource.

LIE-berals DO NOT WANT TO SELL OIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nor do LIE-berals wish to sell natural gas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And economies of scale made it cheaper to build those REALLY BIG REFINERIES IN UNITED STATES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But these points are IRRELEVANT until the LIE-beral govt is DESTROYED AND DISPOSED OF IN THE NEXT ELECTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He’s not unpredictable. He wants Canada. Wake up. We are in for the fight of our life and country. Immediately go to world courts. Cut interprovincial trade barriers. Build infrastructure, ports, trains,LNG facilities, pipelines, transformation capabilities, business incentives for Canadians and foreign countries with production capabilities and find new partners and markets to do business. Government should invest more in emerging markets, ai, cyber, nuclear, biotech.

That's an incredibly stupid and uninformed thing to say. Charest is a life-long public servant with deep insight and relationships. Most Canadians will look at the unfolding situation and agree that this is not a partisan issue. But you do you. I mean, you could join both Danielle Smith and Kevin O'Leary and pucker up to Donald personally. I'm sure that will boost your confidence in spades.

@lukemoloney1113 He resigned and stayed in power until his party elected a leader. He also prorogued parliament while the Liberals find a new leader. This is being challenged constitutionally in the Supreme Court of Canada. Nothing wrong with our media, the issue might be your education level.

@mightyoaks9331 3 күн бұрын
@ It is debatable if the governor general should have prorogued parliament for that length of time. From the perspective of having a fair election where it is clear to all votes what the choices are, its better to have an election after they pick a new leader.

I would like to add a new message to the current Trade War discussions with USA: To people outside Canada, how can you support Canada, locally, if you don't have Canadian products to support? 1. Perhaps, check the internet. Lots of smaller Canadian businesses have an Internet footprint. 2. When you buy in person in your Country, choose a local, non USA product, when You can. Talk to merchants when there isn't a local alternative to a popular USA product. Join in with Canadians. Start a website in your Country to help consumers make educated choices! Does anyone have any more ideas?

Why wouldn’t the current government seek input from all people who have been or are in positions of power. Delineating someone as a con or lib just limits one’s ability to access historical experience. Mr Charest has real world experience, with the US, federally and inter provincially, the wise action is to access that experience. What he has done or not done in the past does not negate that.
