Interesting note about determining eligibility to charge: If you went on "ability to get in engagement range" alone, you could attempt to charge with a unit that was 12.99 inches away from a target (since, rolling a 12 would be "successful", by allowing you to get in engagement range). So the separate "within 12" check on eligibility is slightly more restrictive than would otherwise be theoretically possible

Thanks for the vid mates… question, if you are playing space marines gladius detachment, and are in the assault doctrine, are you able to advance and charge a unit that has just disembarked from a land raider that’s made a normal move?
@niallskinner78004 ай бұрын
No, as getting the unit out of a vehicle that has moved counts as making a normal move, similarly to arriving from Reserves or Deep Strike. You can only select a unit to Advance before it moves, but it can't be selected to move without disembarking first (which counts as a move).

So if set up my Units 9“ away because of deepstrike do I Need to Roll 8 or 9?
@joncarr55455 күн бұрын
9", because its MORE than 9" away, so 9.1".

Where we can read this rule? That you can fire overwatch ONLY if your opponent actually make a successful charge roll.
@joncarr55455 күн бұрын
It's based on starting or ending a move. If they fail a charge they haven't moved so can't be shot.

How come the predator can fire overwatch when the marines appear to be blocking line of sight?
@Crack_the_Skye4 ай бұрын
You use true line of sight when checking target visibility. If you can see any part of a target model, you can shoot. Models block line of sight but don't grant cover unless it has a specific ability to do do.
@ollyrukes4 ай бұрын
@@Crack_the_Skye I guess that makes sense for highly accurate weapons like a las cannon, but it strikes me as pretty wierd for a flame weapon to be able to so accurately shoot between the tiny gaps between the marines to then engulf multiple termagants in cleansing fire.
@joncarr55455 күн бұрын
@@ollyrukes the game isn't that precise on the rules of weapon types. It's generic for all of them.
