I love physical football. There will be no camp cupcake in LA. Could you imagine Herbert with a physical OL like Aukman had with Newton, Stepnosky and Larry Allen in the middle? THEN he had bookend all pro OTs. Tunaei and Williams... Teams knew what they were going to do and couldn't stop it... I see Jim trying to build an OL like that...

This team is going to be so physical! We are going to be expecting big bodies and smashing the ball down the other's team throat. Big body running backs! I do suspect we're also going to draft a wide receiver fairly early in the draft

Ive met a lot of strength coaches and trainers over the years. That dude is the most impressive I've ever seen. Hopefully I get to meet him. I did a report on soft tissue injuries at one time. It took hrs of research. I would like to pick his brain on that one...

Should the Chargers mutate into a hard running team with smash mouth football on the O line, they better be smashing it in the back field on defense. Many teams have awesome pass attacks, if we cant stop that, then it’s smash/catch up football.

Yeah, I think we're going to really try to be a mixture of both. Run and pass should be around 50/50. But you got to remember you need to have a running game to put teams away. Have not had that. That's why we have lost so many games in the fourth quarter

@@BoltBrosPodcast I don’t think Palmer is a stud at all, he’s a good WR3 but that’s it. Now that Allen and Williams are gone, we desperately need a WR1. Johnston and Palmer are nowhere close and neither is the 4th round WR they will probably take in the draft. We need an elite WR1 named MHJ, Nabers or Odunze with that 5th pick or you can kiss this season goodbye. We shall see what happens.

@@wildcat4837 football player or not if you think you’re going to go into next season with trash like Quinten Johnston and Gus Edwards as your top offensive weapons in an AFC absolutely loaded with offensive weapons, and win anything, you’re going to be in for a huge disappointment. That’s a 4 win team. Even the kid CJ Stroud now has weapons everywhere. Their WR3 is better than anyone on our roster. This is an awful team and drafting a bunch of tackles isn’t going to make it better. You can have the best offensive line in NFL history but if you have no playmakers to get the ball in the end zone because you cut or traded all of them you’re not going anywhere.

Slamming the ball down peoples throats doesnt win a thing in the modern NFL. Just ask the Titans how well thats gone the past 8 years with Henry lol. The only time they went anywhere was the year they got AJ Brown, an elite WR, and they immediately made the AFC championship game. Brown went to the Eagles and what happened? Eagles went to a Super Bowl and the Titans are a joke. This Chargers offense is complete garbage. Quentin Johnston and Gus Edwards scare nobody. Better get drafting some elite playmakers to compete in the loaded AFC, and I dont mean tackles...

Well that is what the Chargers plan on doing - will it work we shall see. Also the passing game is also important so it needs to be a balance. Physical is the the teams mindset that is the focus. Probably a better way of saying it.

@@BoltBrosPodcast I agree that the running game is important, but it can’t be your main focus when you have a quarterback, like Herbert, and a running back like Gus Edwards. That’s the exact opposite of the Niners with CMAC and Purdy. But let’s be honest, a HUGE reason why the run game is so effective with SF is they also have elite pass catchers like Deebo, Aiyuk and Kittle. I’m guessing Harbaugh is going to build this from the inside out which means they are going to start with the offensive line and work their way out to the wide receivers but it’s going to take years so I’m just saying prepare for a 4 win season if the main weapons are Quentin Johnston and Gus Edwards.
